Doing Chess Event in Fresh Instance

I have no clue how people are doing it. I cant even kill teh little guys with the queen cause they keep getting healed and i cant do anything about any otehr peaces.

I have done it with my Warrior and I have used mountain climb + the model change thing that takes away doors etc, works in kara to! So yes simple but effective.. Just take away the doors go in, log out delete the mpq file, and log back in! Then just use some invisi pots! Chess Event isnt hard at all! Just focus on their Queen then the healer that is closest to their King, nuke down the healer and if the other healer is close enough to the king nuke him down to! Then full nuke on King!

Practise makes perfect! You will fail, but you will eventually make it! GL!

Did it with a mage. Used auto-unstuck, invisibility past the ghosts, invisibility at the flesh beast after Prince and 1 swiftness potion to make the jump.

How did you invis past them. I have tried blink in, Ice block, frost nova and run to invis, having trouble. Tried invis, blink in at 1s, and I always die.

I am unsure if this has already been posted, but it is possible for warriors (and I suppose druids) to charge through the crack in the door at the rat, instead of applying the unstuck command.
You have to wait until the rat walks off, directly away from the crack, staying in LOS and getting far enough away. Then spam charge while jumping around and changing distance from the crack, staying in LOS of the rat...eventually, a path will open and you will charge at the rat. Directly following this, either pop and invis pot immediately, or run to your right and pray you didn't agro the ghost. The latter is difficult, but I have managed it.

lol just did this. took me like 7 tries. i enjoyed myself though. my best strategy was to pile 2 or 3 pawns on one peice at a time, and they go down pretty fast. after you have the healers down dont worry about any others, just go for the king.

how would a druid do the first thing ? i cant get pass'ed it due to the mobs seeing me

Still works with invisibility Pots. You don`t have to be a rogue for this. Done it so far with, druid, mage, priest, warrior, and of caurse rogue. I`m sure it works with all classes just need invisibility pots and swiftness pots for the jump. IF your a mage or priest slow fall float works too. Haven`t tried the log out trick sence most of my wins have been by luck. That jerk cheats to often.

I finally got to try this out in a fresh instance, since I won't be able to attempt the raids this week.

Had to try 3 times before I succeeded killing their king before mine died.
I basicly did what previous posters said by moving a pawn in order to let my queen move into reach for the opposite queen and then nuke it down.
Then I nuked a healer and lastly I went for the king.

The first two times my queen just stood nuking as mentioned tactics and eventually it died. Medievh cheated alot; he did the cheat fire nova thingy 4 times in a row one of the fights.
But the third time, after I downed his queen and one healer, I basicly moved my queen all around the playfield to avoid melee dmg whilst spamming the fireblast on his king. His last healer was too busy healing other units so it went fast.

Caster ring and some dps neck looted in chest (no shoulder or belt for me >.< )

For the ppl who can get it done to Unstuck true the crack:



1. Go face the crack so that when u jump, u only do the emote like said before.
2. Go scroll your mousewheel until your in 3D view.
3. Center your 2 spells bars in the crack.
4. Unstuck

I also made it to the chess event today, like roguecraft said, no hacks needed, just have to be decent at wall jumping. I'm literally at chess event now about to give it a try so ill post how my results go!
