i set everything up exacly how said using the V4 repack and when i click to run the logon.exe and ascent.exe it gives me a message saying

this application has failed to start because the application configuration is inncorrect. its all right i checked it over many times. Help please ?

to? It only happens when the server is public though, when
other people try to join the server.

Try using the different version of Ascent I have supplied.
Make sure you change the .conf files within that folder.


Try using port 8130

And don't worry about asking.

hey, i changed port to 8130 (and evem 8131) but i see no realms...dunno if other players do...but i dont :S

Yeah... When i try to open Logonserver, it says i misconfigured it, and i need to re-install it. I don't understand what i did wrong, i followed the directions exactly. Also... I don't see "Ascent" exe, so i must be confused. Is it a seperate DL? Any help would be most apriciated.

Hello, thanks for ur guide, got it all working on localhost. my problem is when i
change al the 127.0.0.1 to my no-ip adress ascent and logonserver wont start. it gives an error than it can't connect to .....no-ip.. and than shutsdown.

just so u now:
i tried without port forwarding an with port forwarding.
all firewall's are down.
.net is installed
using windows (no vista)

I think your post went as the DB was down yesterday ^^
But, just open the database with the small SQL file you imported e.g char
Then, open it, and look for the table accounts.
