some reason i get an error that says"incorrect datadir value in mangos.conf or all *.dbc files <55> not found by path: ./dbc " how i fix that?

Yea i had the same problem as you now listen ! first go to that link : http://www.mmowned.com/forums/emulat...dbc-files.html click on "My dbc files (fixed if you dont have time for this guide"
than download to ur disc where u have wotlk repack , and extract the downloaded file than cut and paste the downloaded and extracted DBC files to your wotlk repack folder and replace the downloaded DBC files with your DBC files

Gives me a "unable to connect" message at the login screen, and I've done everything on the list except for emptying my cache, which I have no idea how to do.

Also, what did you mean by "Open MySQL , Realmd and after mangosd?"

well how to empty your cache ... shouldnt be a problem, well i dont really know it either but i did it as i thought
so first go to wotlk beta folder search for Cache folder, open it and than WDB folder and than enGB or enUS (depends on which client u downloaded) than u are looking at ur cache, delete all (recycle bin) dont worry if u did anything wrong u can still restore your cache =) 1th answer
and now for "unable to connect"
go to wotlk folder and open realmlist.wtf with notepad than it should look like this

set realmlist 12.129.236.111
set patchlist eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com

now replace 12.129.236.111 with 127.0.0.1 that should do it

hmmm.... did u download mysql server ? if u didnt heres the link :

when u were installing mysql u should configure it 2 and one thing of the configuration was setting a new password for your mysql server now try to remember what u set
other possible passwords:
- root
- localhost
- ascent

Hey since you posted the Repack and this I was wondering if you could please update it to current patch or to 8788 atleast?, the reason I ask is because there is much more to do in these patches then 8634. And I would do it myself.... if I could.
