Hi all,

Im getting this error everytime i try to load up mangosd.exe, it says "Could not connect to MySQL database at 127.0.0.1: Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' <using password: yes>" and
"Cannot connect to world database 127.0.0.1;3306;root;mangos;mangos"

and im not even using a password on my MySQL.... any help would be greatful

i recomand you to reinstal MySQL and USE A PASSWORD
if you don't use any password leave the mangos connection password blank, with nothing in it, example in mangos.confg:

RealmID = 1

A lot of thanks!!!!! awesome guide but I only have a problem: when I try to convert an account to BC to can create blood elfs, draenei and DK I put setgm administrator 1 and the console says that the command doesn't exist =(. The command has change? plz help!!

EDIT: SOLVED! I modify the account information with the navicat at realmsd -> account.

But there is another problem! I can't create death knights!!!

EDIT2: SOLVED! THE COMMAND IS SETEXPANSION <ACCOUNT NAME> 1 = TBC 2= WOTLK

Anyone test Titans Grip yet before it wasn't working. 3. deals with the post I quoted & setting the expansion. What it seems like is if you want to play the TBC one you have to set it one way, for the WotLK one you have to set it another, is there a way to play both at once if this is how its currently working? Or is this just to unlock the Death Knight by setting it to 2 for WotLK?

Finaly i got it running a 3.0.2.8885 server but i only got one problem,
everytime i try to log on to a death knight i get this error

For example if you have an account "asdasd" you put setexpansion asdasd 2
Doing this, you are enabling this account to use DK, blood elf and draenei. You have only to put 2 and that's all.

Hi!

First of all i wanna thank you the guide, its almost works for me^^

I did everything what the guide says, mysql running, mangos running realmd too.
I can connect to the Mnagos server but after that, on the Character creation screen it says: "You have been disconnected from the server" and every time i wanna connect it says i'm disconnected.

Whats wrong? i did something wrong?

i've noticed that version 8885 have got some problems, and that is sadly also my issue.

i've enabled the "setexpansion administrator 2" that was meant to be the wotlk expansion.
well, i've got th problem that it says

"Creation of that race requires an account that has been upgraded to the appropriate expansion"

i've checked my Tables in Navi but dunno what i need t chance for it to work :P

Everything besides that works just fine.

Edit: Ow, fixed the issue with the DK creation.
but now i've got the same problem as Chester_87 :S

Hey Im still having problems with ad.exe not creating files. I know onebadkiller figured it out so if you could tell me what you did that would be great.

Hey Scritzer7, don't know if you ever figured this out, but when I was having this issue I fixed it by right clicking on the ad.exe and choosing "run as administrator". Worked like a champ for me then.

Yea, for some reason everything works. But the only thing is that when I log in, and choose pvp,pve,etc. Says "Logging into game server" then goes back to the realmlist and it does it over and over again. Any help? Ive already searched for this and cant find any answers.
