Sry but i am just SO confused now!

So i did everything, all that and after i launch realmd.exe and mangosd.exe and he does his little thing, I reach a meny with a bunch of GM command. after that i type in setbc administrator 1 and all that.

But heres what i dont get. Is the Mangosd.exe supposed to start WOTLK on its own or do i go the wotlk folder and start it myself and login?

Cause i tried that and logged in with my administrator. worked fine and all that but wotlk want me to downlaod the next patch and forces me to shutdown wow and he starts to download next patch?


Please help a confused m8 here :confused:

Mate, as it said on top of the guide, you should always patch to the newest version, before you play. Secondly, then do the maps step with ad.exe again

So do not update past that, just do NOT start with the launcher.

In the realmlist.wtf, use:

set patchlist 127.0.0.1

Instead of the Blizzard adress and it will not try to force an update. Make sure you're running wow.exe and not launcher.exe as well, because that will also force an update.

Wrong, you should only patch it to 8634. That was when this guide was released, and the problem most people have here is that they have updated it beyond that.

Go to Client and Patches - WotlkWiki - Wrath of the Lich King Information to get the patch you want.

I got the right version (3.0.1.8634) but every time i try to log in it says "unable to validate game verson".

Whats the problem?

why can i not use mangosd. that say:
