Azerothcore WoTLK Repack (Playerbots + Individual Progression + 32 other modules)

Hey,
thank you for your repack!
One question, I tested a Warrior and tried Battle Shout, but the Buff didn´t show up and my attack power isn´t increased as well.
Is this skill buggy ?

EDIT: Some more information, I was in a group with a paladin, his blessing of might overwrites my battle shout.. I´m playing the individual progession repack and I´m just at the beginning (lvl 4)..
maybe the module has any kind of influence ? Normally they are two different buffs and one wouldn´t overwrite the other one iirc ?

I recommend that you read the wiki about those skills. If this behavior was present in vanilla and removed in later expansions, then Individual Progression might have restored it.

Blessing of might is the stronger buff. And YES it does override shout. It has always and still is like that in wow. If the buffs are the same, it will just go with whatever was used last.

I'd seriously consider going back to your old internet provider if that's how they treat their customers. No idea about IPv6, and no clue how many people you are trying to host, but Tailscale is a good solution if you have just a few users. Thank you. I ended up using Zerotier at my friend's insistence, but Tailscale does the job too. If anyone finds themselves in the same CGNAT situation, you have your answers. My friend and I are playing as if we are on the same LAN, albeit a fake one. Yes, I will bid farewell to my current provider with pleasure once my current 12-month reduction offer ends.

Why i made this:

Some of you may have played Zaicopx repack
IMO it was the best blizzlike repack, aside from some changes (e.g. the config file was tweaked). Problem is that it`s currently abandoned.
I made this repack to substitute it for people like me who just want to play blizzlike WoW with a up to date core and MySQL.
Aside from some configurations related to Playerbots, directories and update threads, most of the worldserver.conf is unchanged from default.

Installation steps:
1. Download either the full repack WITHOUT individual progression + update (if any) OR the full repack WITH individual progression + update (if any)
2. Download the data files (if you're using any repack made 2023 and up you probably already have those files inside your data folder)
3. Download a 3.3.5a client (I recommend either this HD client (is what i use) or Chromiecraft client)
4. Unzip the repack somewhere
5. Unzip the update into the repack folder, replace everything
6. Unzip data files into the repack folder
7. Inside that folder, run "Start Server.bat" file
8. Wait 30-60s until the worldserver finishes
9. CTRL + C on the worldserver window to close it (you only need to do this the first time)
10. Re-run the world server
11. Wait 30-60s until the worldserver finishes
12. Create a account and set the privileges (see FAQ entry below on how to do this)
13. Inside your client folder, search for config.wtf and realmlist.wtf and edit them using something like notepad++
14. (config.wtf) in SET realmList line, set it to: SET realmList "127.0.0.1"
15. (realmlist.wtf) replace whole file with "set realmlist 127.0.0.1" without quotes.
16. Run your WoW client and login into your account


How to close the server:
In worldserver.exe press ctrl+c once and wait for the window to close
In authserver.exe press ctrl+c once and wait for the window to close
In mysql console press ctrl+c 2 times
Do this so that your database is not corrupted.




FAQ:

How often do you plan on updating this?
Once every 3-6 weeks.


How to create a account?
run this command in the worldserver window:

account create $AccountName $Password

e.g.

account create Test test

Will create a account named "Test" with the "test" password


How to become GM?

account set gmlevel $AccountName 3 1

How to disable playerbots?
configs\modules\playerbots.conf

AiPlayerbot.Enabled = 0

How to increase/decrease playerbot count?
configs\modules\playerbots.conf

AiPlayerbot.MinRandomBots = 600
AiPlayerbot.MaxRandomBots = 800

Set it to whatever you want, but beware that the more bots = more RAM and cpu power is needed.



The server is using too much of my CPU. How do i fix this?
configs\worldserver.conf

MapUpdate.Threads = 4

Set it to 1-8. Recommended minimum is 2.



The authserver and worldserver close down at startup and leave no logs!
Update your VC redistributables.




I cannot access TBC or WotLK content!
Install the latest update.
If that doesn`t work, it`s because you character progression level is too low to access those.
You can either:
open IndividualProgression.conf

IndividualProgression.StartingProgression = 0

set that to 11 to start at the beggining of WoTLK or 16 to start at patch 3.3.5 (Ruby Sanctum)

or open the database using HeidiSQL and edit acore_characters/character_settings
and set mod-individual-progression to 11-16 for your character ID.

to delete a npc, select it and type:

Why no Eluna?
Eluna forces the server to run in a single core which is bad for Playerbot performance. Without it the server will use whatever number you set inMapUpdate.Threads.


Why use AHBot instead of Auctionator?
Auctionator causes the server to crash when used in conjunction with playerbots. Maybe it will be fixed in the future.


Why every time i pick up a gray item from a corpse the item vanishes?
This is because this repack uses the module junk-to-gold, which automatically sells any gray items picked up by the player or bots. This is useful in cleaning up bot`s inventory which clogs up over time.

I like how the bots are really populating the world in their level brackets. I have a question, but I suspect this is out of your scope.

I have since added all the pvp quests to a few select npc's in my Dalaran custom mall. However, I know since this is patch 3.3.5a, the marks of honor are no longer used. I am however, trying to make pvp quests repeatable as dailies to help me boost my rep.

Sadly, looking through the quest_template in acore_world, there is no option to make quests repeatable. Any idea where that could be?

Only idea I've come up with is manually adding it (.quest add 8120) every time I do the bg, so I get the credit for it.

I have created a macro that gives me all the battleground quests for that bracket, so I can repeat the process over, and over.

I'm having an issue where my character cannot enter Blackwing Lair under any circumstances, despite having completed BWL attunement and despite having defeated both Ragnaros and Onyxia multiple times. This happens when attempting to enter solo or with bots that have beaten only Ragnaros, only Onyxia, both, or neither. Both the Orb of Command warp point outside Blackrock Spire and the raid portal inside Upper Blackrock Spire do nothing and have no error message. I thought to check the mySQL database and manually update my character's progression flag, but there doesn't appear to be an entry for my character under acore_characters -> character_settings. My character's guid is just not present in the table, so there's nothing to edit. I'm not really sure what else I can do, and my knowledge of how to use and read the database is just good enough to have done the troubleshooting I've tried and no more than that.

The Individual Progression module blocks use of the dungeon finder panel by default until you progress to WotLK content. You can disable that in the config. Search the configs folder in your repack folder, then modules folder. Open individualProgression.conf, then find IndividualProgression.DisableRDF at the bottom and change the 1 to a 0. Save and close the file, and you should be able to use the dungeon finder at any point after that.

Yeah, I think many of us forgot that the IP version locks certain features due to not being available at that stage of patches.

It gave me troubles, so I switched to No Progression.

i forgot to add this to the repack's conf. Sorry about that. After you enable it and login into your character, go into the database and check if a progression level has been added for your character ID. Change it to 3 if it's not already.

Also, a PSA to anyone attempting to raid Zul'Gurub: the Individual Progression module adds an attunement process to enter that I don't believe was in vanilla. It's the quest chain that starts in Tanaris with the quest Screecher Spirits that takes you through Zul'Farrak and Sunken Temple, culminating with traveling to the Zandalari quest hub in Stranglethorn for The Hand of Rastakhan. This has to be done to enter Zul'Gurub, both for your account as well as for any altbots you're bringing with you (I did not test if randbots required this, but odds are they do). If you don't want to go through an extensive questline anywhere from 1 to 20 times, you can expedite the process; if your account has GM perms, you can type .quest add 8182 to instantly be given the final quest in the questline, so you can head right to Stranglethorn to turn it in.

The Individual Progression module mentions an option in its SQL to enable or disable this requirement, but I lack the SQL-fu to figure that out. This is a decent workaround if you're as dumb as I am.
