im using Mangos and i am trying to run a server with version 2.0.8 and this happens....

i made my mangos folder in c:/mangos and unzipped the .rar file into it...i copied the ad.exe and pasted it in c:/program files/worldofwarcraft...and then made a "Maps" folder as instructed...no for my problem....when i run ad.exe in the WoW folder i get an immediate error stating

You are patched too high. After patch 2.0 all the patch.mpq were merged into the common.mpq. you need to find an old install of Wow pre-2.0.

The ad.exe is looking for the mpq files PRE-2.0. If you are version 2.0.8 you are too high. You need a version probably around 1.12.

Okey i started with mangos and done setup-guide for dummies but now when i

start wow.exe it says "your login interface files are corrupted. Please reinstall

Ok when i go to open wow it says critical error...failed to open archive model.MPQ:the system cannot find the file specified.What can i do to fix that?Also the bat creator will not work i tried reinstalling everything and it just pops up with a black box then dissapears?it says...

I've let it sit for ~2 hours and I've restarted it ~30 times.
Nothing has changed.

Hi, New to this, but I did manage to get my private server running after reading all the post!

Just one question, when I started playing my character and I logged out, and when I came back in, all my items were lost, including gear, and everything!
When I first started my character, I didn't have any gear to begin with nor a hearthstone to teleport back!

Anyone can help???? (Hate losing things and restarting my quests again)

Okay i have a question I Deleted the patch.mpq and reapaired and hit yes when it said that WoW was badly damaged but when i went to download the patch its said That i was still Running the 2.0..... version so i didnt need to download the 1.11 patch I checked the WoW.exe not the launcher.exe for the version and yea it said the version was Still running 2.0.... It said this...
