MoP Sandbox

Ok so we have a core of the sandbox? Now if im right there is no working sandbox yet. Are we even close to acomplishing it?

Not until someone with a beta account gets a wireshark capture out to those that can develop the core further. I wish I had beta access to help, but alas, I do not. We basically need people that understand the directions on how to capture the packets we need, and then someone that can interpret the data and implement it into code. I only understand the capturing part, since I'm a computer tech IRL (and a tweaker, modder, etc). I'm not a programmer, but there appears to be a huge population of those types here. We just need those damn packets!

I am in the Beta but wouldn't give my info and auth code to any random person. If one of the people actually working on it wants just send me a PM. I wouldn't mind being able to walk around Pandaria while waiting for Blizzard to give me something to actually do in the Beta.

mmo-champ more then likely does not have a sandbox, instead with a beta account they probably fake send/recv returns and fly around in a disconnected state. could easily load any map too.

I have world fly/speed/loadmap and world load from character selection complete but not logon. ive actually never looked at it previously so im coming at it from a newbie perspective, but from what i see there are a few of you here who for some reason or another know WoW logon like the back of your hand.. master674.. saw some others too.

Regardless, they do have the opcodes available to them, as sending and receiving fake packets is not far from what a sandbox would be doing. So they are out there.. somewhere.

The big difference of course being that the example you used does not require a method of getting through the auth, but with people obtaining beta access, I'm sure the auth/world opcodes should be available in no time.

Until someone with a beta account steps up though, it really is just a waiting game.

Well, i try to load Mop maps in to regular 4.0.6 client and it works.

As you can see textures are wrong mapped and i get wow error all time, so its not usable for exploration right now
