Figured if i stopped botting and stopped selling gold I'd get to keep an account. Nope.
I don't even consider PQR to be a bot. It had such a minor impact on my gameplay. Another account down the drain though.
I really didn't think PQR would cause a banwave. Cute how it just happens to coincide with release of Hearthstone open beta, their other pay-to-win game.
This banwave actually convinced me to stop being attached to my chars. I lost all my accounts 3 months ago and just built them back up recently. I'm at the Titan Runestone part of the chain but now I think once my suspension is over, I'd say screw you Blizz. Just gonna farm and sell gold like there is no tomorrow!
Ok so lets get this straight. By your logic
250k people with 72 hour ban
125k people quitting
125k people rebuying the game
125k x $20 = 2.5M in new game income....
You seem to be missing something in your crazy logic of this "master plan of the CFO". 125k x $15 per month lost subs= 1.875M. Making it a loss at only 1 1/3 months. Wow doesnt make much off the games, they make it from monthly subscribers.
Hi, on Jan 22nd I have received NOTICE OF LICENSE TERMINATION*. Well that ended my journey with wow for good, Thanks to those who helped me in game out of the game and I wish you guys a good luck in your life.
lol Hesoldusouttobliz i think you are an employee of blizz and i f@ck you with all blizz and I will continue to use all existing bots.
You guys want to know what a major change to PQR was that got blizzes attention? The automated pet leveling profile. I for one used the hell out of it and made millions of gold with it. Had this particular profile not come out i honestly do not think we would be looking at a ban wave at the moment. If you remember the Xpack when archaeology came out Pirox had an automated archaeology bot that triggered a banwave. Blizz does not like the new professions, especially the ones they "baby" being botted.
PvPers ruin yet another great thing. I honestly believe if it weren't for all the instant-near instant interrupts and nearly impossible things some rotations pulled off, this banwave would have been avoided. Use this for PvE and don't hurt others gameplay? I can see Blizz looking the other way. But PvP where you face against other players and ruin their gameplay? Yeah, Blizz won't look the other way on that one.
But thank you Xelper and all the profile creators. If it weren't for you guys I would have quit a long time ago. It was an amazing run.

Wow, some of you guys that got 72h banns, check to see when your billing date is. I received a 72h, my bill date was the 24th and i can see it being taken out of my account. Today was the end of my 72h ban, and i just got an email (after being able to log into the game from my 72h being lifted) that my account is perma banned. I have a feeling blizz may have given 72h banns to people who were about to be billed so that they can still bill them, a final time then ban them like they just did me. is that even legal?
Are you kidding? Let me get this straight, you origanally got a email of a 72 hour ban, then today you logged in after its over, they billed you then permabanned you? If that is true, dispute the transaction (no services recieved), I was unlocked today after 72 hours but not permabanned, but my bill is due on the 1st.
