I said that was the problem is that they used copyrighted material.
But, most people can't read so oh well.
And I was taking the obvious disadvantaged side and trying to argue for it, so to say I have no idea what I'm talking about is just silly.
Too bad they lost, but doesn't affect me oh well.

    From Ocktra on the Glider forums;

This is the official Glider-On-Hold Discussion Megathread.

We are keeping the forums clutter-free and condensing all General-Members discussion about the Glider hold into this thread. All other threads regarding this topic will be locked.

Remember to keep it civil and I expect that Mercury and Hamut will be patrolling this thread to answer your questions.

We're temporarily suspending Glider sales and operation effective today. The judge's ruling earlier this week was pretty hard to understand and it initially looked like we could keep selling. But after all the lawyers sat down to pick it apart, it looks like he doesn't want us to sell.

This is something we expected, although we were hoping otherwise. We've put together a small FAQ about what's going on, so check it out before asking about things on the message boards.

This is a temporary stoppage and may be over within a few days or weeks, with any luck.
    Why is Glider stopped?
We had some difficulty interpreting the judge's order from March 10th, but it looks like he's telling us to not sell or support Glider. Rather than risk violating a court order, we're complying until we know for sure.

This is something we knew might happen - and we expected, given the judge's history. As we've mentioned in the past, our next step is to ask the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals for a stay during the appeal process. That should take anywhere between a week and a month before we get an answer.

The only real surprise is we expected the judge would give us a date we had to shut down by, leaving us some time to go to the 9th CCA and ask for a stay without interrupting service. Unfortunately, he did not, so we have to put Glider on hold for a few days or weeks.

    When will Glider be back?
Glider will either be back within a month or it will be gone for at least a year. We'll know in the next few weeks. There's still quite a bit of lawyering to be done before we're down through the whole appeal, so news developments should continue pretty fast.

    What about my personal info?
The court ordered us to stop selling and supporting Glider. Period. Nobody's information is going anywhere, no Glider source is being turned over, there is nothing strange or extra being done. While it's likely the rumor mill will spin up some exciting stuff, there's no substance to it. If you're in doubt, just scroll to the last 2 pages of the recent ruling and read what the judge is telling us to do.

    Can I get a refund?
If you bought Glider in the last 30 days, you can get a refund, although you'll have to buy it again if you want to glide when we resume operation. Drop a line to [email protected] and include your PayPal transaction ID that came with your receipt, or your Glider key.

If you want to wait until we find out about the stay, we'll be honoring refunds for anyone who bought Glider within 30 days of this announcement, even if takes another month to find out.

    What about the forums?
The Glider forums are not going anywhere. We'll be up and active for the foreseeable future.

What about my Elite subscription/time card?
We'll bump everyone's Elite up by the number of days we're down, when we resume. For PayPal subscriptions, we're going to try to suspend processing of those, if the PayPal API is smart enough. If it's not, we'll simply stop them all for now and then email PayPal subscribers when we're back up.

    Where is the ruling?
You can read it here: http://www.mmoglider.com/legal/mar10_2009.pdf

    How can I help?
Stay calm. This is a difficult time for us all and we're going to do our best to make sure you can continue to use the software you paid for.

Im interested to see which program will rise to the occasion, and replace glider, even if it is only simple at first.

Ya definitely interested to see who becomes the new top dog. I recall long ago I found the Innerspace/OpenBot to perform better, then took a break and came back to Glider showcasing some amazing botting abilities. Such a sad timeframe, since I know ppather was on the verge of another release, and there were several thriving 1-70 grinding packs out there, and 1-70 questing packs on the way/in beta. I hate to say it, as it takes from the income of the glider team, if they decentralized the whole glider system and just stopped charging for the software(or something), then blizzard's ruling to shut down would be pointless wouldn't it? a decentralized system couldn't really easily be stopped the same way. Meh, i'm sure someone out there is already working on trying to figure out what responses are needed to make glider not need the authentication servers :-P Good luck Glider!

the problem isn't who can come up with a new bot to replace glider but who will be dedicated enough to release updates to coin inside with Warden updates AND take the risk of getting sued by Blizz. So it isnt just a matter of removing the authentication process out of glider and hello, we can bot again. Diablo 2 was destroyed by botting, i think Blizz has the right to protect WoW and any other release for that matter from becoming what D2 is today.

I honestly don't see how Glider can lose this. It violates a contract that a company made for a product that it's users agree on, however it should be the company's responsibility to take actions to the people who violated the terms. It's just like video game emulators and roms.

are we following the same lawsuit?? this has nothing to do with Blizz and their customer base!!! It's about protecting their copyrighted material, not the fact that the program violates the EULA/ToU of WoW

Just making sure.. the options we're left with are -

    1. Zolofighter
    2. Finding some way to obtain an underground version of ISXwarden/ISXwow to regain/allow usage of Openbot without insta-ban.
    3. Finding some way to obtain access to Farmer John Bot (Which isn't that great, as far as i've heard)
    4. Creating a new bot.
    5. Cease utilization of bots in general.

Anyone care to correct me or add a #6?

I wish there were some crack or something to keep glider working. I mean, I bought my copy, so I wouldn't be stealing anything.

Personally I think if you want to automate the process that should be your choice, not knowing much about the program myself I think the whole is is blown out of proportion. Blizzard in my opinion is money hungry nothing against them but alot of big comanies are.

Is zolofighter really the only other option?
