okay fine i do not like idiots either. and i am sorry i got pissed and flamed you. btw your insults are at least not completely chilidish like 99.9999% of the leeching n00bs.
Right either im a noob or something isnt right since there has been a new patch. When i try to lauch wow with the mef everything works, the black box pops up as always but when i log in none of the edits are loaded like the program ignors them or cant load them. I do not know anything about programming so i tried some diffrent ways without any result and by looking at the model editting forums i assume that either i have done something wrong or just my computer suck, because im the only one with the problem. So kynox if you have any idea what i might be doing wrong please tell me![]()
Thanks to vemonou5 for my sig and avatar!
Should of read my guide on how to fix that 2 pages behind=p
But anyways, do this, exactly how I have it.
1. IF YOUR MODEL EDITS AREN'T LOADING AND NOT WORKING, READ THIS:
You need to go to START > Control Panel > Folder Options > View (Up on the top, the tab) > and under "Advanced Settings" UNCHECK "Hide Extension for known file types". Now go to your data folder (or where ever you have your edits in) and you'll see that most likely the ones not working end in ".mpq" and NOT ".MPQ", so what you need to do is make the "mpq" CAPITALIZED.
AND/OR the "p" in "patch" isn't lower case, which is a must, the "p" HAS to be lower case (clarified in the example below):
Example:
This is WRONG: "Patch-x.mpq"
This is RIGHT: "patch-x.MPQ" (THIS IS EXACTLY HOW IT ---HAS--- TO BE. THE "p" IN "patch" NEEDS TO BE LOWER CASE AND "MPQ" NEEDS TO BE CAPITALIZED. ALSO, "x" CAN BE ANY LETTER a-z OR ANY NUMBER 4-9 (I think it's 4-9, I don't use numbers).
Then, after you change it, if you want you can go back and re-check "Hide Extension for known file types" so you don't accidentally screw something up.
I have to give you a big +rep for this one, you're keeping it updated for the community, doing a pro job at making it work and helping people keep their model edits working when they have problems and overall doing an excelent job at something i wouldnt have even the slightest idea how to create.
Somene plz help me/ I downloaded the fix, it came with only 1 exe, WoWME, no dlls, and IDK if thats hwo it is supposed to be, but leaving that i put the exe in the WoW folder and then double clicked it, and the thing says only for version 2.4.2, but i HAVE version 2.4.2, IDK why it is doing this.
EDIT: I FIGURD OUT IHS IS FOR 2.4.3 lol, IDK why it stil lsays 2.4.2 on the title though.
TO ALL OF THOSE WIT MY PROGLEM, the FIX IS:{Problem: This version of WoWME is meant for version 2.4.2 of WoW!}
Update your WoW Client to 2.4.3
Now I Have an even worse problem, please help, I made a patch using noggit and I edited the land, like yuo know made land higher and lower and stuff, and then i name it patch-x.MPQ, then i loaded WoWME and hit f then logged in, no changes. Then, I changed name to patch-x without the .MPQ and it still said MPQ Type File below name, then i loaded with WoWME and did f8 and still no changes, can someone plz help me.

well seeing as your online sabith I'll go ahead and ask this. I've named it properly, start WoW, and it closes on me before i even see the login screen with no error message. I've been trying to load an isntance swap.
The devil has a bullet with his name on it.
I take it the instance swap involves a DBC edit somewhere in there? When WoW doesn't load (a black box appears, then WoW starts, and immediately closes) it means that there's a bad DBC edit. With patch 2.4.3, Blizzard changed around a lot of DBC files (charts, etc) and so there's either a bad DBC edit in the instance swap, or you have some other bad DBC edit in your data folder that you're trying to use.
The way to fix this would be to remake it using the new 2.4.3 DBC files (try to do it manually for best results) and if that doesn't work, I really don't know what to tell you, other than just don't use the DBC edit. =/
ty sabith I'll be remaking it![]()
