WoWME fix for 2.4.3 download link:
RapidShare: Easy Filehosting
Thank u man.. u just made me very happy :P hate my ugly undead female![]()
so which MEF should i download for 2.4.3?
Ok ... i know you all hate this ...
But still not loading the models ...
I made an directory called patch-x.MPQ inside the WoW folder and the WoW\Data folder ... in this folder I got my 3 changes which I wish to load ... i changed their endings to .MPQ ... this mpq's are in the WOW\patch-x.mpq folder, in the WoW\Data folder and also in the WoW\Data\patch-x.MPQ folder ...
I think with that i can say they must be anyway in the right folder ...
so then I start WoWME.exe (version 2.4.3) and WoW opens ... then I hit F8 and enter my password to login ... after that I choose my char and start login into the World of Warcraft ... but nothing changed ...
anyone got an Idea why?
Thought about the problem that i got a German WoW ... but do not know if this could be in any case a problem because the filenames are normaly the same ...

My WoW Version is 2.4.3 (8606)

I get to repeat myself AGAIN FOR THE 500TH TIME? YES!!! I'm too nice
Seriously though, for all you people having problems... scroll through pages 35-and so on and you'll find fixes.
So yeah, this will be the last time I repeat myself because I feel like I'm wasting my time, and spamming this thread for all the retards who can't read through pages.
Anyways...
1. IF YOUR MODEL EDITS AREN'T LOADING AND NOT WORKING, READ THIS:
You need to go to START > Control Panel > Folder Options > View (Up on the top, the tab) > and under "Advanced Settings" UNCHECK "Hide Extension for known file types". Now go to your data folder (or where ever you have your edits in) and you'll see that most likely the ones not working end in ".mpq" and NOT ".MPQ", so what you need to do is make the "mpq" CAPITALIZED to "MPQ". Oh, and there should only be one ".MPQ" in the file name.
AND/OR the "p" in "patch" isn't lower case, which is a must, the "p" HAS to be lower case (clarified in the example below):
Example:
This is WRONG: "Patch-x.mpq"
This is RIGHT: "patch-x.MPQ" (THIS IS EXACTLY HOW IT ---HAS--- TO BE. THE "p" IN "patch" NEEDS TO BE LOWER CASE AND "MPQ" NEEDS TO BE CAPITALIZED. ALSO, "x" CAN BE ANY LETTER a-z OR ANY NUMBER 4-9 (I think it's 4-9, I don't use numbers).
Then, after you change it, if you want you can go back and re-check "Hide Extension for known file types" so you don't accidentally screw something up.
Cute. <3
I'm following the instructions and all, but I'm still getting crashes when trying to change my character model.
can u make a guide for 2.3.3 plz
