I think after Niantic threatened BOT devs and forced them to quit it, they probably gave devs some bucks and got the data the devs had like username and email and sh*t

Yeah, that was my hunch too. It's possible that they got busted and made a deal to handover usernames. PokeFarmer acquired MyGoBot just days before the banwave which was highly suspicious.

I only have one account I played legit from 1-23 and then botted from 23-33. I only stopped botting when the whole bots were down with the new patch and when the new updates came in I decided not to bot anymore. I've been hitting gyms with low pokemon cp and so far my account is still alive and good to go.

They prolly check each accounts by the time they were made. Wait for it since I'm sure there is going to be more ban waves.

There are a lot of ways to identify a botter or a GPS spoofer:

1) Has been softbanned at least once (because of sniping, teleporting etc) - possible bot or GPS spoof;
2) Moves at a constant speed, always;
3) Teleports instead of moving;
4) Connects with an IP from India, plays in NY Central Park;
5) Sends too many API requests from the same IP;
6) Uses a public proxy or VPN (might be previously blacklisted, might be recognized by the system as a proxy or VPN);
7) Never misses a poke ball;
Plays 24/7;
9) Uses a popular Device ID;
10) Acts in the same intervals, always;
11) Hasn't finished tutorial yet, but still plays;
12) Moves too fast;
13) Gains XP too fast;
14) etc...

So maybe one or combination of few factors is enough to get banned and we don't really know which of these matter. My guess is that they already knew who was botting months ago just didn't take action.

2, 5, 6 and 7 won't get you caught, though 5 will get you suspected.

11 is client-side so they don't even know that...

For me the game is dead and I don't even feel the urge to bot another account (thought I'm doing it for the giggles).

For one this game is extremely unfair! If you live in a big and crowded city you'll always catch the best pokemons cause of the massive amount of lures they place, plus you have tons of pokestops and gyms to farm coins. If you live in a small town or village you're basically out of luck cause only thing you will be catching are a massive amount of pidgeys and rattatas, that is if you have some decent pokestops nearby to gather pokeballs to catch them.

If you're in it for completing the pokemon collection, and that was my goal (I was at 145, just missing Ditto and the 3 legendary pokemons), you'll have a bad time due to the region locked pokemons!

And no way to delete eggs? Seriously? I couldn't care less for the 2Km eggs. It's so fun to walk 2 Km to just get a pidgey (not!)!!!

And why did they showed us in the presentation trailer a Pokemon distance tracker and it wasn't available in the game? Just the shitty 3 step tracker that didn't even worked. At least when Pokevision was working I had the motivation to go out because I knew that I could catch a decent pokemon without walking around like an idiot to just discover that the pokemon that I wanted had already despawned!

What's the fun in knowing that there's a pokemon around, that you're missing, but you have absolutely no idea where to look for it before he goes away? And don't even mention the exp amount! Cause if getting to level 30 is hard, getting to lvl 40 is near to impossible. I'm not even mad for being banned, I'm just disappointed for waiting so long for this game to learn that it's not even fun.

So the Hammer got all my account, even my kids accounts that have not been botted on. Incl. My nerver botted man account, Had 4 botted accounts only local botted, living 20km outside a small city. Only botted in that city at low speed, no namechange, no sniping. Only my path where i walked when playing with my kids. The bot was on for max 2-4 hours every second day or so..

The Terms of Service Clause regarding legal action against Niantic for damages states that you have thirty days from the time you accepted the Terms of Service to "Opt out" and retain all rights for legal action against them. According to this you can just email them within the 30 day period at [email protected] to lock in your rights. This is for anyone who has been wrongfully banned and incurred any loses including:
Phones purchased specifically for Pokemon Go
Extra batteries, charging accesories used for Pokemon Go
Any and all monies payed to Niantic for in game items
All other expenses related specifically to Pokemon Go

Alright here is my set up:

1. Legit account never been botted not banned
2. Bot account(Necro) "banned"
3. Bot account(Necro) not banned

I use the same phone to get on all accounts

On my banned account I went a little crazy. Gotten a lot of soft bans because I was moving everywhere, and spent 2 days straight. then the "ban wave" hit and couldn't do anything. My 3rd account though I changed my settings and so far not banned.

Here is what I did:

At first I started the location where I lived for about an hour(rural area) then I turned it off on the PC and the phone. I changed the config location to St Louis(an hour away from my home town) but did NOT turn it back on my phone nor my PC. Instead I waited for over 2 hours or more, while I waited and I made sure that my GPS on my phone was off PLUS my wifi/4g was off because even if you have your wifi/4g off it will still use GPS on you, be aware! When the 2 hours passed I got on Necro config and made sure the settings were save again and popped open the bot. I haven't got on my phone yet to log on(still wifi/4g and gps off) but when I do I will make sure my GPS is still off. I was not soft banned at all. So my guess is that it will soft ban/possible perma ban if you get to one place to another under the normal human travel time also human time being spent on POGO. I will be on the bot for only 3 hours tops to make sure. This is like I said a guess I will test this out more and update you guys later.

Just wait. I botted on 3 accounts and only one got banned so far. However, people reported that their accounts get banned one after another. So if you still have one now, you might loose it tomorrow.

I think DeviceID also is a big part of the detection. Almost nobody changes this or knows how or couldn't be bothered.

Cell tower info. As bots will never have this, could be read by app.

Evolution speed / Catch speed

Altitude - Never changes. Not even .001

Then this is not limited to XP/HR , Catch P/H, Pokestops P/H etc, etc.


My ONLY account that survives is my GPS one, which I happily play on my couch. End of botting for me, just too many detections that can be tripped, thus wasting time re-leveling for the same end.

I think most people just want to watch the account grow with stats and enjoy the botting rather than playing the game.
