sadly, IV doesnt mean shit. if you set a 100% iv absolute max pokemon with a shitty moveset vs a 20% iv max pokemon with perfect moveset, the 20% one will win. always.

Not exactly because its too much work and so many unknowns, but there is a site that has accurate dps on each move:

You just search the name of pokemon and click on it and it takes you to another page that displays the DPS of each move. So in case of Dragonite:

A 10% IV Dragonite with "Dragon Breath" and "Dragon Claw" will absolutely obliterate a 100% IV Dragonite with "Steel Wing" and "Hyper Beam".

On another note you really want a Snorlax here because you don't control defensive battles and he is the best Pokemon in defending. Taking over a Gym is quite easy, keeping it is the hard part. The luckiest people in Pokemon GO atm are those with +95% IV Snorlax with its best moves.

I have 2 100% IV pokemon, a Jolteon and a Dragonite. Also, for hatching eggs, have your gps set to move you to a random spot ever sec at 10meters away. Max speed that registers for eggs is 12 mph or 17 feet per second. 10 Meters is 30 feet, but since its constantly moving you around, you never full move the full 30 meters, and it acts as if you are running back and forth at about 10 mph. This is how I've hatched all my eggs, almost 200 hatched already with not a lot of play time.

I'm not 100% on this so take it with a grain of salt, but from what I've gathered from around the web it's a rather simple formula:
(BASE ATTACK + IV) x (MOVE DPS(remember to factor stab)) = TOTAL DPS
(TOTAL DPS / DEFENDING PKM DEF) = DAMAGE DONE PER SECOND

ex. Dragonite
250 Base attack
BEST ATTACK: Dragon Breath, 12 dps (+STAB BONUS)= 15 DPS
WORST ATTACK: Steel Wing, 11.3 DPS

100% IV Steel Wing
(250 + 15) x (11.3)= 2,994.5 DPS

85% IV Dragon Breath
(250 + 13) x (15)= 3,945.00 DPS

Estimated Damage vs 66% def IV Vape
Vape Base Def: 168 + 10 IV = 178 total def

Steel Wing: 2,994.5 / 178 = 16.82 damage per second
Dragon Breath: 3,945 / 178= 22.16 damage per second

As you can see, against a mediocre vape, the 85% Dragonite with Breath does roughly 25% more dps over the 100% with Steel Wing
In conclusion, perfect IV doesn't mean much without the proper moves.
