Hello vmv. Thanks for your work! Low end pc users appreciate it
I wanted to know if by making a copy of the original content.ggpk i can restore default settings just by replacing the modified file with it in the poe folder in case any error occurs, or do i have to reinstall the game from zero everytime if i cant follow all your detailed instructions to restore settings? Because i didnt quite understand all the folder creating thing with your restoring instructions.
Sorry about my incompetence, ill keep trying to follow them and understand them to be able to use smoother in a smoother way later on

There is already a Custom folder for users but it's a bit complicated to keep the track of all files because there are hundreds of them. Use the Custom folder to modify some effects of your preferences and use what is already done by default.
Also, there is a tip on hovering the checkboxes that will tell in summary what is doing.
Let's see what they do in short:
- particles(config\Particles) - removes particles from many places...Metadata/Particles, Metadata/Effects...
- enviro (config\Environment) - removes enviro effects and particles from many places...
, again as above from Metadata/Effects/Environment...
- micro - is obvious.
- effects & sounds (config\OtherEffects)- removes some effects from monsters/characters/pets/critters...
As you can see, one option makes changes in many places and until you can understand all Content.ggpk structure...it's better to use what is already done and make minor modiff on what you use mostly.

If anything goes wrong with your choices or you don't like them...just delete the Content.ggpk from the game folder and put the new one there. You should have an updated content all the time...just in case.
There's no point in restoring lots of settings, better and faster is to replace the content.ggpk.

jopeku, You don't need to reinstall it from zero - just run PackCheck.exe in POE folder, wait until it done and run the game. Updater will re-download (only)changed files and patch your GGPK, so you can have original data in easy way.

Latest changes for a Breach works good) Finally breaches have a playable fps, not a spf.

Ok, tried it, and it worked. I can actually fight back in breaches now!
vmv, wanted to report an issue though. when disabling shader (fog and smoke) option, the game glitches and, even when it doesnt crash, it just stops rendering the world, character models, objects, everything, only armour sets and objects tags are visible on the screen. All black except for that.
Tried it several times and confirmed that that option is the one that provokes that. What info do u need to look into that?

It's normal, just wait a wile to complete the rendering and then it won't happen again.
It's for the first time when shaders are written in Shaders folder.

It's weird because i didn't touch that skill and i already test it a lot and i haven't crash by using it.
Could you give more details..what options have you checked and how often is this skill crashing.
If it was the tool, it should crash even before loading your char, or in some cases, immediately after activation.

Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet This what it says when i use it. It happens with herald of ice too. I'm not sure what I used at first, but basically had most of the options enabled.

edit:
Ok, first thing now is to use a clean client (do a PackCheck or replace the thing), now with this new patch i think it's fine to have a clean one.
Then, in your game there is folder named ShaderCache...delete all folders from inside.
New shaders will be created when first start the game.
Try this and see if it's working.

So cool man that you respond so fast! It actually happens with anything I cast, just tried using spark in dried lake, same error and then path of exile has stopped working.

By using clean client you mean I should change ggpk file to default one right?

Don't use the tool to restore the Client.ggpk, it wont work.
Better do a PackCheck.exe (it's in your game folder), and with that all files will be restored.
It's clear now that you need a new Client from what you said with spark thing too.
I always have 2 games, one original untouched on a HDD, and the one that i play with on a SSD.
Whenever i have errors after testing, just delete the ssd client and copy/paste from hdd...always new..
edit:
Both folders = ShaderChache - ShaderCacheD3D11 (empty them)
