The argument is a moot point. PoEHUD has never been safe to use. GGG has added anti-cheat to POE and has banned people for using applications like PoEHUD, but they never tell you why you were banned, nor is there any appealing the ban.

So the ONLY thing that matters is if you use PoEHUD and you log in and your account is banned you know why. It has never been any different at any point.

Those specific hack features were removed because they were being targeted specifically. With or without them it was still and will always be a potential source of banning, period.

I don't think anyone cares who wins this iFight. Can we get back to trying to help others in this thread. Playing POE without the HUD is pretty useless. Anyone know how to fix my issue above? Thanks again in advance.

It's a problem with the way HUD handles data and how memory can get out of sync between the client and the HUD. A quick fix would be to throw in a bit of exception catching when things are rendered (someone did this recently for the advanced tooltip rendering). After that's done, if something like this fails, it just won't render anything for that specific plugin on that pass. It really needs a decent rewrite to the code to prevent objects from getting referenced when they weren't created, but that's a rather large task and a big reason why I stopped trying to fix things.

Would a simple delete of the program and reinstall fix this issue? The reason I ask is ... it seems everyone should be having the issue as me since we are all using the same program.

No, that won't fix the problem. The problem is in the code.

The reason others don't see the problem... Like I said, it has to do with HUD and the memory in the client getting out of sync. Why it happens so much to you and so little to others (I can play for hours and not see it once, though I usually see it every hour or so), who knows? Perhaps your PC is slow. Perhaps it is fast. Perhaps the build you run does something that makes HUD more prone to being out of sync. The real problem is HUD wasn't written very well and things have the opportunity to get out of sync. I'm not about to jump down that rabbit hole to fix the problem, but I'll probably throw some exception catching in which will at least mask the problem.

OK, I added exception handling to all render functions.

As always, you can get it here (source).

    Direct link to exe here.

Because you choose that option... - "Only area name".
Choose the other one instead, if you want to see the xph.

To all those to just come in to say "DETECTED".
When was it "Undetected" to begin with?

If you're going to say you only used "x" or did "y" and still got banned, you have no way of remembering everything you did over the past week let alone month or months since the AC was implemented.
What I think they're doing is checking behavioral patterns, completely unrelated to what you're running aside from POE, when suspicious behavior is noticed (be it through flags that trigger automatically or through player reports) then they start checking the AC data gathered from the game and start building up the case.

I would be wrong in assuming that it's what they always do, but if I wanted to catch someone using software that I don't want them using, I'd go to hell and back to make sure they don't ever find out how I discover how they cheated, and get as much information as possible about what they're doing, when they're doing it and why they're doing it.
Sooner or later they'll be able to single you out of a crowd simply because you "Can see things others can't" and they know it.

For all you know, you've been flagged ever since the AC was implemented for something not even related to the HUD, yet it's the only thing you're using. It could even be a false alarm, but eventually you started doing things that triggered more flags and they started noticing, they don't just ban you outright when they catch you doing something, they be stalking you and ban you when you least expect it so that you can't tell what gave you away.

I also play solo, every few weeks I play a few hours a day and enjoying the game with the HUD for my own reasons, and Autoflask.
I was already flagged for using Maphack, ZoomHack and the FullBright back when they were still in the HUD, as soon as the AC went live.
They sent that global message to all those that were caught using Any memory editing cheats. And guess what, I still have my account and am still able to play.

Maybe your play-style is triggering the same flags that a bot does, or you have some background process that's similar in functionality as PoeHud, anything could lead them to a ban if given enough flags to reach a conclusion, and when they do, they'll just keep doing it till you can't be sure of anything at the point they decide to ban you.

You people need to stop coming here and complain about being banned for using something that's free, that some random people across the world are maintaining it for free.
I don't know how you people do it (The devs of this program) but when I see all these ungrateful muppets open their pie-holes only to talk trash about your work without even knowing the amount of time you're putting into this project so that they can keep cheating, I feel like picking their eyes out with chopsticks.

Whatever ... I do hope I didn't insult anyone with this post ... but if I did, then you deserved it.
