This was in the latest announcement from GGG:
Preload alerts certainly won't work as well when they get that figured out. For me, they're still insanely reliable (perhaps because I have a 64-bit PC with more than enough RAM?) but if you think it's missing things a lot now, wait until it only loads the assets that are within a handful of screens.At the same time, one of our performance-oriented programmers has been working on a new asset management system that can load assets asynchronously. This will result in an additional reduction of load times and further reductions to stuttering. This system is not yet ready for testing, but its deployment will hopefully be later this year.
Sadly news. I think GGG will implement this due not to reduce some lags when loading (much more lags caused by their shit-optimized content or the core of the game itself) but due for fighting players that are using tools like HUD to be able to know, what IS in the loaded area (and botters, ofc). If they'll do it lately and there will be no way to bypass this... as for me, i think that i'll quit poe, because ~60% of fun-playing for me is to know exatly, what is present in new locations...
Btw, Teh, did your version of HUD not showing maps in loot-tooltip? (neither Tory's, only vmv's qHUD is showing this. in all versions i have alternate method disable, btw.

Yeah, seems to be working as intended, timers on items not allocated to you (but only with borders on, might make a separate toggle for this), alerts for only items that are either unallocated (i.e. 3L RGBs) or allocated only to you. I think disabling "Hide Others" lists everything, but I don't remember if I tested it or not. There are some other problems (sound alerts happen no matter who the item is allocated to), so I'll have to look into that at some point.
