On windows10 it doesn't work.

So current POEHUD status is "unsafe, don't use, not sure if anyone will continue it"?

I never even stopped for a second. And i will never stop using the hud when i play poe.
But, it doesn't matter for me if they ban me or not.
It's a big advantage.. "to not care",

Sorry for lame ass question. POE detects the HUD process running on the system, or it detects that some 3rd party process is reading POE memory?
Exiled bot is memread only too and no bans reported on the forum, neither I heard about any EB bans.

Well, pre built-in loot filter era, PoEHUD was a must for navigating through the mess that was item/currency drops. Preload alerts and warnings were nice to have too, but it's nothing immensely necessary, it just saved you time mousing over rare mobs/magic packs to identify the threat. After all PoE is an aRPG, doesn't hurt too much to be a little active in the process of playing rather than being a couch-potato and get fed the content through warnings. Besides that, HUD was a fantastic programming project and the original creator as well as the contributors thereafter deserve great credit. HUD will be missed, but its not the end of the road for PoE players.
On a side note, the days the banwave hit, I was using the wmv modified version. I wasn't banned. However, I haven't used the HUD since.

The HUD isn't dead...someone always comes along and fixes it eventually.
As for being safe, it was never safe. We just knew that GGG wasn't looking for it. Now they obviously are looking for it. Will they continue to look for it? Who knows
Use the HUD on accounts you don't care about because it has always been unsafe to use. It says that in big red letters in the first post. Anyone who thought otherwise was just naive and ignored the prevailing advice that it was going to be unsafe.
Sucks when you get banned, but you have to accept the reality that it can and will happen. Also there is most definitely a correlation between modifying the HUD for other "auto farming" type activities attracts more attention to the HUD. So if you really want to do something to stop attracting more attention stop encouraging people to use its features for things that OBVIOUSLY will attract undue attention. Things like obvious zone/alert exploits. Even if there is a non-HUD way to do it, if you make it easy in HUD they will do what they can to stop it. Because ultimately even if there are non-exploitative ways of determining the same info you are doing it via exploitative means.

Since the lastest updates I recognized glitches I normaly only get after accidently resize the game window.
Just an idea, but does the HUD-windows always resize to fit in the gamewindow or is it just a window which fills the whole screen (sorry was to lazy to look into the code or start spy++).
GGG migth just resizes the window back and forward to check if an external application also changes.

Try this : https://github.com/vmv/vmv-PoeHud/releases/tag/v.0.1
It's a new build from a clean source, and has some minor fixes and addons. I didn't found any errors wile i was testing around.
Ofc, it's not safe to use it, like the master version, ...use it on your own risk.
Anyway, last night when i opened the game ..there was a very tiny patch, like 9kb in size and after that, the hud didn't recognize Vagan, and he was near me...i don't know yet what is it. Tried 3 versions of the hud, including doragon version and they were all the same,...
I wont push anything to the main because right now what the hud needs it's something else and not some small fixes to design.
Cheers,
