It's an automatic ban wave, H4vC has confirmed that something changed in AC.

I was using the version from a few days ago from github.
Played about an hour earlier today.
Came back 5 hours later, and was B&.

Yeah, the AC seams to have changed a lot...
.
Who knows how they detect it. But is curious how come i don't get banned and i use the hud for testing,..and have errors, crashes..bla bla.
The only thing i can think of, is that i have denied access to write in the Client.txt file from POE logs folder....that file has 0 bytes on my hard drive.

Banned
It's been a while, since i have really loaded up this game, but yesterday i logged into it and updated to the latest poehud, from the first link, i was getting issues with the corrupted room not showing up, etc, so i downloaded the file to fix that, also d/led badplayers autopot and cport.exe, and got everything working, however i just tried like 10 min ago and it says i am banned, lol oh well no biggie, was no longer really active with the game, but yah the ban wave is real and those are the only things i updated.

I also got banned today, using only the latest hud and nothing else.

I put up a disclaimer on my github repo. I haven't really looked at the AC in a long time but I'm pretty sure they just used a sig scan to detect the HUD by looking at what programs had an open handle to the game.
Tbh I fired up IDA and will check it out tonight or perhaps tomorrow morning.
Pretty sad that this is my 300th post.
Obviously don't use the HUD, etc etc etc.
I asked Jaerin to edit the OP.

Thanks god I didn't use PoEHud on the accounts I've already got a warning on. There's no more warning now tho, I lost my darkshrine account but it was only lvl 35-40 char so not too bad.
I don't get how their AC can ban when PoEHud is only reading memory, I mean an Anti-virus could read PoE memory and could trigger a ban or am I missing something?

so if i understand it correctly, I think the HUD creates a unique footprint for itself in-terms of what address its reading based on the pointers it is accessing from within POE. An AV program doesn't probe address space like that constantly.
Please correct me if my train of thought its wrong.

This is also what I am most curious about. I guess the more relevant question though will end up instead being... if poehud is confirmed detected then, what could GGG have done recently to all of a sudden no longer fear the repercussions of overstepping the major user/client privacy boundary that has always protected us in years past against other similar major companies. Did they find a legal loophole/exception that protects them or gives them permission? Do they actually believe that punishing us for gathering up a bunch of info that they willingly send to our clients is morally right??? I mean its on the same level as like... if they were to intentionally start giving us full minimap data unencrypted on purpose just to see if anyone finds it and tries to take a look at it so that they can call you a cheater.
But ya, ban people for reading memory? Of course its extremely easy for any company to do if they choose to, but ban us for reading it instead of just stopping sending it to us in plain sight unencrypted??? I really will feel ashamed for them if any of this is true.
Another obvious example... if you dont want poehud reading what type of strongbox is in a zone, just make them all use the same or randomized textures, or just have our client always preload the other ~9 different strongbox resources for fun, or just dont preload them FFS...... my parents who know jack about computers even understood and agreed with these alternative solutions when I presented the scenario over dinner... which is why i just cant believe that especially a company like GGG would choose to ignore those solutions and take the other path.
