glad to have someone like you do this for the community, and good luck in your future!
Thank You,
Be well!
Just want to thank you for what you have released thus far, and anything that may come around in the future, regardless of delay or even potential cost.
Maybe I will find myself lucky and come across your work again on other domains. I really enjoyed following your progress on BH and definitely enjoyed seeing your release here.
I was especially happy to see a preview release at EPvP, as I have been a long time member over there. I used to run a couple of the top Shaiya private servers and had made EPvP my home for that.
Whatever your plans and intent may be in the future as far as PoE goes, I wish you the best of luck in achieving your final goal, and I look forward to hopefully having the opportunity to be a benefactor of it as well![]()
i really want to thank you! great work, dude!
does someone know how to use this tool with isBoxer to multibox?
my game crashes a lot when i open up certain instances. why is this? does this have anything to do with it?
[Error] The plugin [C:\Users\Josh\Desktop\poe\ecp\plugins\ECPP-clienthacks.dll] was not loaded because LoadLibraryW failed with error [126].

I know you don't want to add it, but with a chicken integrated I would happily pay 30 dollars a month for this software. The friend I play with would too.
You should just charge outright and see how many people would actually be willing to pay. When its between not having the software at all, or paying for it, im sure many will opt to pay.
great program, i hope most of us have donated by now. I'm so looking forward to your bot, mmmm mouth watering.
Oh some sad news
But im glad you shared your work with us. Hopefully 2.x wont be that far away.
it will be very hard to play without your tool . . .
Oh and i donated you some $$, you can happly keep it and buy a few beers with it![]()
Its is possible to add in "ExiledCheatersPlatorm" options like Particles Control, DIsable spawning of particle emitters, No Projectile impacts AoB, Enable particles per second override, particlesPerSecValue. Ech of these options reduce the consumption of graphics in the game, this is so important for me.
Here is the code I currently use in Cheat Engine to manual load.http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/mmo/...k-0-10-1b.html ([Release] PoE Multihack : Fullbright/Lighting control, Zoomhack, Maphack 0.10.1b+)
Nice to see these options in "ExiledCheatersPlatform"
Thank you! I tried to make my post sound not like a goodbye, since I'm not going anywhere, but I do need to find a different direction to go about this stuff. I'll still be around here!
No, that error message is just for the line that once had "plugin=clienthacks". That was removed from 1.2+, but the log file was not deleted. Instance crashes shouldn't be happening with 1.3a. So far, I've only had one crash, and it was at a really fast logout when I was about to die (the logout happened first though, so I lived). I have an idea of why that happens, but it's a core design issue with 1.X that is being changed with 2.X.
For ECP 2.X, I'll be using a better logging system, log4cxx, if you want the technical details, so before certain code that can cause crashes is used, it'll log the execution trace so I can track down these occasional random crashes. So far it's working exactly as intended. The new design of ECP 2.X should lead itself to less crashes as well, but there's always room for them, since I'm using client functions and code. Overall though, I've not had many crashes with ECP. The 1.0 version would crash sometimes on instance switch or fast logut under certain conditions, but the 1.2+ versions didn't exhibit that behavior nearly as much (only had one crash in total).
On the second point, that's how I started this project out! (although on a different forum). I thought I had made something that would be good enough for people who really wanted to pay to cheat to buy. Of course, all the features I've been adding were mostly planned, but it was just a matter of saying, "this is the start, more will come later". I started out a price that wouldn't be exactly cheap, but would reflect the time and quality of work I'd be putting in.
That didn't work out though for many reasons. First, there's just not that many people active in the cheating community for PoE across most of the sites I know of. PoE is still a small game, and a lot of people who are interested in cheating for profit are going to be doing RMT. I'm not a RMT person really, so all that leaves for me is people who feel as I do and want to cheat for improved quality of life, that is, to enjoy the game more. There's not that many people around that feel that way nowadays.
Second, the project had no exposure outside of where I was posting it and people familiar with my posts on BH. I'm not going to spam advertise it across the few boards I visit, because well, that's not what I do. For people to really see what they are getting, they'd have to use it first, which is why I went with the model I did. Of course, all this was an experiment, because it was the first project of its nature for me, so I've learned a few things to do better for the next version.
Now that people have seen and used it, I don't feel like switching to a forced-pay model would work out either. This stems mostly due to the fact that people who are interested in cheating for profit, need to benefit from using a paid project in someway to justify the cost. So, that leaves just the people who would want to pay for it because they really like it and wanted to support the project, which are pretty much the people who can afford to "donate" now. In other-words, ECP as-is is more or less just another money sink, which for most people, is hard to justify in a F2P game that has 0 pay2win options available. I thought there'd be more people who would fall into that category, but there's not. I had to try at least, so that's the direction I went after March with setting up this project (as opposed to pure bot work).
I should also clarify a few things though on the first point. I know that if I added auto-pot, chicken, a better configuration system, auto-open doors.chests, group follow, essentially a multi-bot type of setup that would counter ISBoxer in a sense (although it'd be two totally different things), I could sell such a bot project since that's what mostly everyone wants. If I actually did put out my bot prototype, it'd also generate a decent bit of money because of what it is. I've already had offers, but I'm not quite ready to commit to that type of project or accept money for that type of stuff at this stage.
From a business perspective, you could say I've been going about this project all wrong. I should have put out a bot prototype back in March when I made the last video. However, I'm not treating my work or my project as one of those "cold business" types of deals. I care about my work and how I profit from it, so that's why I spent the time trying to make ECP what it is right now, which is more or less a "quality of life" type of cheating project. There's some useful stuff there that can give people an advantage over others, but once you know how this game is played, you begin seeing how this stuff doesn't make you a better player. At best, it can enhance certain strategies you use, but i feel that at no point, can someone using ECP with less knowledge of the game could ever beat someone who wasn't using ECP who had more knowledge. Between knowing the game and RNG, ECP just won't have that big of an effect. Now, if you put ECP into someones hands who does know the game, and is willing to take the risks cheating, then that's when you have the scenario of people really benefiting from it.
However, it's always a game of numbers. For this game, on the cheating side, you are dealing with a really small number of people. RMT might be a bit larger, but since GGG is actively battling it, there's a lot more risks/reward compared to other games. So while there is money to be made from RMT, it's always going to be short term, highly unstable, and pretty much just whatever you can get away with. As I said before, that's not really me. Maybe in a another parallel universe, lol.
In short, I don't think botting/RMT has much of a future in this game. While they will always exist, the league system presents an interesting challenge. For simple bots, those will always be stuck on leagues that you can afford to die on or monitor really closely. You aren't going to bot in most races unless they are maybe of the 1 month+ variety, but even then, playing by hand with friends dedicate could probably yield you more profit. As more advanced bots come out, they'll be able to do more, but there's still going to be the cheating void in certain league and event types.
That's why I went in the direction with ECP for non-bot stuff. I figured that there'd be more people who would want to play more expects of the game and have something to use, since they'd not be botting. In the future, this might prove to be more true, but it's one of those "wait and see" types of deals. For now, that means ECP is at best a hobby project, so that's what I'm turning it into as I look for other things to focus primarily on.
If I could find ways to apply my skills to the legit side of things, and be targeting the 99% instead (once again, #s game), then that'd make for a more viable long term project doing the things I want to do (which was my goal to begin with). The whole cheating/non-cheating thing doesn't matter to me personally, I don't view this stuff that way, So, that's what I'm going to try! I won't be going at it alone this time though, so I'll be working with someone else too.
Thanks! The delay between 1.X and 2.X is mostly just for me to catch my breath and transition into other things. I still have big plans for ECP, it's just that it won't be the project I thought it could be from the start. I have no problems making it a free-to-use (donate-ware) project and maintaining it as such, but that wasn't how ECP 1.X was originally setup. That's why I need the transition time, to switch things into a totally different model. On the bright side, I'll be able to add back in auto-update stuff now, so that'll be something to look forward to in 2.X!
Depending on when 0.11.2 is actually released, the delay might not be as long as I was hinting at, but it just depends. So for now, I'll rather over-estimate than under-estimate! Thank you for your support,
I only use my own work in my projects, so I won't be adding that directly. I'll consider looking into find a way to make sure you can use it alongside ECP in the future perhaps, but for now, I won't just be ripping that code and sticking it into ECP 2.X!

Well, I know why you don't want to put out a bot (Because a bot in a f2p game will completely screw the games economy for normal players over) and I completely agree with you. The problem isnt with people botting when they are at work or while they sleep, the problem is the farmers who will open 10 instances per pc and run an office full of them. Then its just an arms race of who can have more bots.
When the game goes retail in october, and if you added some more non-bot features (basically everything minus the auto moving around), I think you might be surprised how many would pay a subscription fee for such a program.
I think, specifically, because its not a bot program, people are going to be picky with features. If it doesnt do absolutely everything else, people aren't really going to buy it. Not to say that your program doesn't do enough things (I like it), im just pointing out some reasons why the software isnt getting picked up a bit more. By the way, I saw you release ECP and I didn't bother downloading it originally because the features didnt seem useful to me -- until i used it. Now I dont want to play the game without it.
Unfortunately, the PickIt is tied to the config file that also handles the entityRadar for your minimap. By changing around what shows on your mini map, you are also choosing what will and will not get picked. You are editing the correct file, you are just looking for specifics that do not exist.
This works fine for somebody such as myself who is very selective of what I care to pick and see on the map, but for some it will have it's downsides. At the moment, my cfg is set for only 5L/6S/6L items, selective currency, maps, and uniques. I couldn't give a shit less about anything else. My drop selections make for a rather clean mini map and much more effective and less noticeable PickIt. But this is all aside the point of the post.
