    Anyway, thanks for all the hard work here, BaseN. Nice program. I do have a couple issues, though. Like was mentioned earlier on this page, it'd be nice if it collected all of the rewards for a character before it started queuing them up again. It would help a lot to have that option.

    More importantly, is there any way to have APBu pick up where it left off after it has to relog. As it is, it starts at the beginning of your character list and if you have a lot of characters with a lot of slots, you can end up losing a ton of time waiting for it to cycle all the way down to the people with open slots.

    I have apply RottenMind settings and i'll see what this does.
    All time out were at default before.

    edit : i go back at 10 timeout before re-log because after 4 job fail (3 are running or i don't have the resources needed) it re-logs me to the gateway and retry again the 4 fails jobs.

    As I said before this is not a good idea. It will slow the APBU down (time x 1.5) because I still have to check the slot again to see if it's empty, after I collect so this means parsing all slots twice. If I don't check the slot prior to trying to start a new task, in case of network timeouts it will mess up the queue (again due to the fact that you can't actually force a task to start at a specific slot. It always starts on first available. This is a neverwinter design issue).

    This: "14:36:02: Adding task timed out. Slot is still Free. Retrying!"
    means that either that due to network conditions the task failed to start or that due to gateway the task failed to start. If it's the first case increasing Internal Loop Timeout will fix it.
    In both cases I can do nothing about it.

    What YOU can do about it is set Internal Loop Timeout to something very high like 18-20. See if the message goes away. If it goes away, then start reducing it until it starts happening again. This will find the perfect value for your network. IF Intenal Loop Timeout doesn't help then it's gateway glitching and nothing can be done about it.

    It even try to do twice the same task.
    This is by design for FP mode. It just makes sure that it actually can't start the task and wasn't some sort of timeout before moving to next.

    And the problem i said before is still here with 12s timeout.
    I start the bot, it collect and start tasks then i end to the login page.
    I can't see the screenshot as it needs approval but it sounds like your network needs high Internal Loop Timeout in general.

    Both delay values do not affect anything other than the delays.
    Internal Loop Timeout see above for how to find your sweet spot for your network. A good ILT value should give you no "Adding task timed out. Slot is still Free. Retrying!" messages and will actually speed up things although the timeout is higher because things won't have to be retried from start.

    If need Traceroute in order to check if there is "buggy" connections... 9x APBI runs same time without problems, shutting down them all not affects performance.
    This means absolutely nothing. APBI uses different browser and doesn't check for 3/4th of the things APBU is checking to ensure it doesn't mess up the queues etc. Do not compare. The web engine is different, the javascript engine is different (APBU is using Webkit which has slower JS engine) so things are being done in a completely different way. APBI will fail on many things that APBU will not. APBU on the other hand is more picky about certain things timing out because it actually checks for more stuff. For a example APBI will never check if starting the task actually succeeded so if it happens that it has timed out, next task will start on the previous slot and will mess up queue (due to the neverwinter design issue). APBI does this all the time. The more stuff I safeguard against in APBU, the more prone it becomes to bad network conditions or gateway crapping out. This is why I exposed the ILT setting so everyone can calibrate it to their network conditions.

    Also have in mind that sharing profiles will do nothing for you. The proper ILT setting depends on your network. So the only way to find what is good for you is the method I described above, set it very high, and start reducing until problems appear. When they do go back 1 or better go back 2 to leave headroom. On my home network it works great on 8 but my network connection is way above average. On my work network it needs 9. For a friend of mine it needs 12. This value only depends on your network conditions and route to gateway. What works for one is not guaranteed to work for everyone else. The default in APBU prior to exposing this setting was 10. Which worked for the majority of people just fine. Bu for people like elecropica it did not. So the setting is now there and you can calibrate instead of me increasing it internally to something like 15 that would work for most.

    Next version will have an option in settings that you will be able to enable if you have such issues in order to save to file.     OH, OT, Base, I've noticed that sometimes, when you're in first possible mode, the bot will try and do the same job twice, before moving on to the next one in line. It doesn't timeout or cause errors, it's just a nuisance.
    It will always try twice. It's making sure it's not a timeout that caused the inability to start the task before skipping to next. If t doesn't do that and you happened to timed out at that point it would just skip the task for no reason. And if it's a chain of tasks that one needs the other to continue it'll go all the way down to start the last one delaying the job. This way it makes sure that it actually can't start it (it can still fail though if ILT value is too low for you as that can cause the timeout to happen twice in a row. This behavior assumes you have ILT set properly for you so it protects from gateway crapping out).

    See answer above for this. Until PW fixes the system so you can select the actual slot you want to start a task in, I won't change that.

    The idea is that when it relogs something went wrong. Network, gateway dropping session, etc etc so it starts from scratch to make sure the issue that caused the relog, has no messed up the current indexes. I will eventually add an option to just continue from where it was at although I think that in the long run most people won't use it once they find out that it can cause issues.

    What YOU can do about it is set Internal Loop Timeout to something very high like 18-20. See if the message goes away. If it goes away, then start reducing it until it starts happening again. This will find the perfect value for your network. IF Intenal Loop Timeout doesn't help then it's gateway glitching and nothing can be done about it.
    I'll try this but it's strange.
    Page load very fast most of the time and when it's about starting an impossible task,
    or it stays on the task page doing nothing and doesn't even looks to try to load something and then i have the "error" timeout
    or load the page in less than 1s with an error message on top saying it fail and give the "firs possible" timeout.

    It like the "error" timeout was giving an error without even trying to start the task.

    I get constant disconnects with ABP-u with the log saying Gateway Dropped Session. I don't have the most stable network connection, but I almost never experienced it with APB-i. Is there some setting I can tweak to deal with this problem? Had ILT on the default of 8, raised it to 15 with no effect.

    I need test if it start working with "long query" what is needed when Leveling Professions, later can use single task with one fallback.

    The name of the current task is irrelevant unless the xml with the tasks is wrong. Still I will add this when starting the task. The count of timeout is already included where applicable. Clear log button I could add yes.

    Page load time has nothing to do with it really. The points of failure are always when something is done with javascript and the server has to respond. Gateway is heavy on Javascript and AJAX which makes it impossible to know when something is done other than checking for the result of the action. This is how APBU does it, it runs loops checking when the server has actually responded. This is what the ILT option controls, these loops. But it can't wait forever because then APBU would freeze when gateway never responds to the JS action. So high ILT will help in case network conditions delay this response. If ILT doesn't help then either the packets sent never arrived to gateway or gateway just crapped out and never replied.
    Clear url loads never fail unless your network is down or gateway drops the session and if they do APBU can just force the reload of the URL (or relog in case of dropped session). With those things that have to be done in Javascript it's a different story. If they fail, APBU has to reload initial page and trigger the JS again and check for result again.

    No, Gateway Dropped Session is just what it says. Gateway dropped your session and you're not logged on anymore. This is outside my control and is an issue with the gateway. Sometimes it happens often sometimes it won't happen for days. Usually it happens when the Neverwinter login server is overloaded (happens from inside the game too..try fast switching characters on the same account, via clicking "change character" and you'll see that sometimes it will throw you to the login screen instead of character selection..this is the same issue). It happens with APBI as well but APBI just doesn't detect it. It will just get stuck when it happens.

    It started with 0.3.9b for sure.

    I had it run all night again but this time all I was doing was gathering/refining and it had no problems. It seems to do it when the queue is longer and there are a lot more timeouts. For instance, when leveling a profession I have 6 slots unlocked so I can craft 3 max of any one thing at a time so the queue gets to slot 4, 5, and 6 and it has to try to start that thing until it times out and moves onto the second item in the list. And also, at higher crafting levels I have it setup like this:

    Armor +4 of the <something>
    Armor +2
    Armor +1
    Armor
    Refine
    Gather

    This way, if I don't have enough to make a higher armor I just make a lower one (which is used to make the higher ones, so it all works out) and if I run out of materials I just refine and/or gather more. I've made sure to stock up on tons of refining ingredients and residuum so I never run out of those.

    I think it's because my queue is long and if it has to timeout all the way down the list to hit the gather stuff then it slowly chews up more and more memory somewhere that isn't being released properly from the loop before it.

    I haven't been able to see it in action, though. I've watched my process viewer and it doesn't go above 200MB when I'm watching it. It only happens after it's been running for many hours nonstop. This is why it tends to happen overnight, I think, because during the day I'm constantly stopping it and making manual adjustments and stuff and then restarting.

    Oh, and I've noticed another bug or bad handling of disconnect. APBU doesn't seem to realize when you've been disconnected from the gateway. For instance, it was in the middle of trying to start a task when I got disconnected for some reason. I watched the logs to see what it would do and it waited for the timeout delay and then tried to start that task again.... but without logging in first. It did this 5 times (which is what my timeout limit is set to) and THEN it logged back in and everything was fine. That's not a real big deal except that it wasted over 10 minutes trying to start a task when it wasn't even logged in.

    Ah very good idea. Better than using the top to bottom option as it often ends up with a ton of +1 and +2s if you have to reconnect to the gateway and it loses it's place.

    Not possible. There is absolutely no part in APBU's code that doesn't release memory. I told you this only happens when it gets stuck in a particular loop that is not part of APBU's code, it normally doesn't happen in normal operation. Like it was happening with the X button without stopping the first on earlier versions. The only question is what triggers this. It is not a leak, it is somekind of bug that causes the abnormal looping to happen. A leak on C++ happens when you allocate memory on the heap with "new" and then you don't deallocate with "delete". This happens nowhere in APBU's code. The problem is that something causes a particular function that uses a "new" allocation to run over and over again forever getting stuck on this, so the part where "delete" is called never runs. This doesn't happen normally in APBU in any case so it can never happen with long queues or with time. But some kind of bug is causing this function to run again and again forever which I can't find. Use 0.3.8b until I finish 0.4.0b with the logging to file so I can see where to look exactly.

    EDIT: When this gets triggered it doesn't take time. It will eat all your memory in a couple of minutes.

    Edit: Actually, you can force this to happen yourself. Just start APBU and then wait for it to go into the main loop then log into the Gateway from your browser which will force a disconnect of APBU.

    Since i don't have any problem of this kind with APBI with default configuration during days, i can only think that is from APBU when it happens after less than 15 min.
    I don't know how work your first timeout but i believe there is something on it that doesn't work.
    Could be the action to have a check that isn't done well (since it stuck on job page) or just the amount of fail count that isn't reset after a task start.

    Have you tried my queue that i posted previously ?

    I just had the out of memory crash happen while I was sitting here. I was watching something on YouTube and I got a popup saying APBU was out of memory. Windows automatically closed it so I didn't get to see anything, but when I checked I saw that I had one of my queues setup wrong and I ran out of materials.

    BaseN, could you try something? Set one of your queues up to purposefully be out of materials for several tasks (the way I had it I ran out for 4 of the tasks) and then set a tier 1 gather at the end and let it run overnight (APBU has been running for about 7 hours now, I'm not sure when it ran out of materials) and see if it happens to you as well. It seems that every time it gives me the error I happen to have run out of some material OR my inventory was full and I couldn't retrieve one or more of the tasks. I'm starting to think that's the trigger.

    In response to my last post:

    I just had it happen again while I was sitting here. This time I only had gather tasks setup for all characters and all slots. Also, APBU was only running for about 45 minutes before I was at over 4GB of ram used and an out of memory error.

    I would have been completely baffled by this EXCEPT that my internet connection is horrible today (I keep randomly losing connection and losing tons of packets on every ping test I do). I don't see how that can be a coincidence. I'm restarting APBU to see if it happens again.
