According to blizzard term of use Blizzard Entertainment: World of Warcraft Annual Pass Terms of Use
" If your World of Warcraft subscription lapses during the Twelve Month Commitment, or if you fail to make any required payments or timely payments, Blizzard may, in its sole discretion, terminate your participation in this offer, including, without limitation, a termination of your license to play Diablo III."
Any idea why they will use the term "payment issue related to one of the accounts you “referred” via the Recruit-a-Friend system" when they obviously mean other reasons?
I don't think this is some mass witch hunt. I just think maybe Blizzard is smart enough to wonder whats going on when they see a mass increase in the % of annual pass subscribers and a mass % increase in the amount of RAF months being given out, and NOT seeing a mass % increase in revenue. It would only take one database report to come to the conclusion that somethings not right. I have no idea how these RAF sellers make their money, and I don't really care. What I do know is that I saw a blue post on Blizzard's forums saying that people were using a glitch in the billing system to somehow cause trial accounts to give RAF rewards. Once I read that I knew it was only a matter of time before my time was going to get taken away. Unfortunately I can't find that post now.
I rather ask myself if the gametime was actually taken because the accounts were already flagged from blizzard due to botting or something else..
Because maybe if they were flagged, they had a reason to look these accounts up.
I just cant believe they either created a "software" that checks the subscriptions,or rather look through all of the annual pass holders..
Because a LOT of people bought a pass, and i dont know, but would be much work for them to check every account by hand..
@Kreuzfeuer that's a possibility too. I do bot on the account that had the RAF removed. The strange thing is that I have never gotten an email in regards to the botting. Like I said, I don't think there is any reason for people to get all scared over RAF gametime. As long as you go in knowing that you are abusing a system and you might lose your money. There is no way to go in to this thinking that everything is on the up and up and that you should be 100% risk free.
actually,if thats the case (credit card) then EVERY user wouldve been taken away the gametime, cause seriously - which creditcard owner WOULDNT call his company for the refund..
SO actually, there would be daily "raf gametime losses" all over the place.
and @FoNzI : It could be everything, but at the same time u maybe couldve been reported, and blizzard wasnt that "sure" about how to deal with u and just flagged u for watching you do what you do,cuz maybe - when time comes - they couldve banned u for 100% botting , but aswell couldve seen raf gametime being added to your account...
Sorry about my english,im sleepy and this isnt my main language :P .
is there any way i can cancel my annual pass now that this method is officially banned?
I do not wish to pay the full amount right now and i only got the annual pass because of this.
so bummed this happened few days after i got my annual pass.
I'm too greedy. I pre-ordered Diablo III really cheap on Amazon.co.uk (~25 pounds inc. shipping) and cancelled the order to get this even cheaper lol. Now I'm f*cked.
There is a way to cancel: Open ticket , tell them that you are unable to continue paying them, they tell you that you got option to lock your account and stop payments and that you will be able to reactivate you once when you contacted them again.I opened ticket ,they've reply me that
Yes you won't be able to play wow anymore nor diablo
Yeah i meant you wont be able to use your diablo from annual pass if you buy legit diablo that's other thing![]()
