Having trouble connecting to VPN from within a virtual machine (vmware)

I'm using Boxpn.com's service.. and vmware workstation 8.0.4
windows 7 64 bit

Trying to set up a static ip on each VM.
I can connect to the vpn on the host, but not from within the virtual machine. Anyone know exactly what I need to do?
Have been trying to figure this out for 10 hours now.. gonna try posting on vmware

You need to bridge the default network adapter with the vmware network adapter
