I disagree. I believe they are also monitoring accounts for gold per hour, quest turn ins, and character deaths.

imo monitoring that would be so expensive. i think that they are just flagging accounts with a lot of games created/hour and then they check things like all gold colected, quests...

this is true, because they are not competent enough to create anti-cheat system that can detect automated scripts that are click based that dont affect the memorys ram

so truth be told if you were to spend 10 hourso n one day doing 150 goblin runs or 150 sarkoth runs an hour, you would be banned

except they are going by x,y coordinates and probably flagging it because we all know you cant click something perfect 1000 times, you physically can but you physically cant

anyone been banned since last banwave?

Edit: quick thoughts and a bit more of an explanation. I was really annoyed trying to figure out how to word my appeal (had to come up with something myself) because no one seemed to want to explain how they did it. After the ban though I've lost all interest in D3 so I could care less if my account gets banned again.. hopefully this helps someone!

    Banning theory
Based on what I said to them, it seems that for now they are ONLY monitoring simple #'s such as game creation, playtime, ip address, etc. Nothing to do w/ where you're clicking in game or even delay between games.

    My ticket
The reason I placed was something to the effect of "I didn't use hacks, but got banned. All I was doing was farming gold w/ [character] and farming for items w/ [other character] by doing the same game runs over and over because that was the most efficient method. Sarkoth runs were simple enough that I could play while [doing something else]."

They responded to the ticket within 3 hours (submitted a few days ago, I didn't check my account until today though).

    ------------
    I was banned last week doing AutoIt w/ Sarkoth 10-16 hours/day. No hacks/gold selling/buying.

I SUCCESSFULLY appealed, here's the response I got from Blizzard:

    Greetings,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us, and for bringing this matter to our attention. I first wish to extend my apologies for the frustration caused by the account action you reported.

Recently, your account was actioned incorrectly as a result of our efforts to protect the Diablo 3 environment from exploitative behavior. As part of these efforts, some accounts engaged in or associated with exploitative activities, including the use of third party programs, were affected. Please note that access to this account been restored and all actions removed. You should be able to login and play again. (Keep in mind excessive farming of one thing over and over could result in further action, as it may appear to be exploitive activity.)

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and encourage you to contact us with any further questions or concerns you may have. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

    ~

My guess it is gold collected or games created gets you flagged.

Then someone checks the account if it is botting when they check you are banned.

They can only check so many accounts a week, so with fewer bots your chance of getting caught goes up.

My bot account was hit in the latest autoit banwave, but I also autoit botted on my main which I actually used to clear act 3 once a day, and they left that alone...

If you spend two hours a day legitmately playing the game and the rest of the time autoit bot, are you safe?

how many hrs per day of autoit botting would be considered safe zone?

I want to autoit bot on my main but still remain reasonably safe from ban... Think 2 hrs per day of Sarkoth would keep me safe?

every kind of botting will cause in a ban! its not about the programm u are using. its only the amount of. blizzard cant get u with autoit.

to be honest. i thought 600- of sarkoth runs in 24h is save but thats not true. support told me. 524 kills of sarkoth is not possible for a human. lawl. every1 is able to do it in 8 hours with a meal between. but blizzard isr retarded .

"We have confirmed our initial findings, and the account action will not be reversed or changed."

All they do is copy and paste that bullshit

Don't believe the trolls that come on here and claim to have been unbanned, they're full of shit.

Listen it's real simple: if your bot looks like a bot, kills like a bot, and "doesn't talk" (like a BOT) = Blizzard is going to ban you.

If you don't want to be banned, you have to make your bot resemble a real player as closely as possible -- I promise you that is why some people who played their accounts regularly, bought items on the RMAH, all in between bot sessions or used Demonbuddy profiles for multiple quests/acts/difficulties, have not been banned yet.
