I ceased all botting activity across my accounts at the first sight of autoit bans and in that time I've managed to RMAH nearly all my gear and gold, was expecting the eventual ban, but nothing yet.

I do believe that Blizzard can't afford to ban all bots, and therefor some of us(including me) have been able to bot 24/7 without any problems, so far. I'm on EU, and the banwave will probably hit here soon as well. I won't stop my bot though, as I think I could be flagged since weeks, maybe a month back, but as I said, I believe they ban only a small portion of the botters each wave.

With that said, I wouldn't stop my bots for anything

    Stay strong

If you go 24/7 like the poster suggested.. then yes.. you will get banned 100% of the time.. maybe not today, tomorrow or next week.. but you will.

Keep in mind that there are basically 2 types of botter.

Profiteers and gamers trying to get an edge.

If a person is worried about getting banned it's because they are the latter. Profiteers know that bans are a cost fo doing business. Bot ballz to the wall and rollover as often as possible. Make $600, get banned.. pay another $60 and resume.

It's no different than paying for electric, telephone, internet and coffee for the office. It's a cost that, if appropriate for the return... is readily budgeted for and expected.

which wave dude? you think this is wow? there is no waves. there is bans period. since release of patch 1.03b I guess. The GM department for review ban cases start working fully.

So they ban people everyday period. Doesn't matter if your are running your bot or your bot it's offline. Basically this is a long process of analysis for each case so the queue for analysis it's big.

Of course they priotize some easy cases then others. You say I bot 24/7 maybe you are running just 1 bot in one machine , you didnt hit the "outside of curve" results or something.

Try to put 5 bots running in the same machine with VM doing like 500K/gold hour and then tell us how many days took to get banned haha.

Plus after the first ban they keep track on this person, what this person do, they see the botter behaviour after ban. So thats why so many people bought fresh accounts and get banned them when they were still lvl up them in 3 days hehe.

This its not random bans neither "wave bans", this is simple database analyzes of results with patterns for bots behaves results and a team just working happy, check ban, check ban.

I agree with the part where you said that 5 bots will get banned easily, however, if I would be to run 5 bots on one machine with VM, I would get a VPN client, to separate the IP's, and of course different names and info on the accounts. If people bot 5 bots on one IP, sure as hell they will get banned. But if you take the proper precautions ban isn't as likely, of course still possible.

It all comes down to luck in the end though, but you can still be flagged for a long time since they can't afford to ban all the bots at the same time. Don't you think they could track all these AutoIT bots extremely easily with warden? Vector-detection and whatnot.

Yes they keep track on IP's, which is why any smart botter that bots for profit would get some kind of VPN-service if they got banned and plan on rerolling.

This is not WoW. The portion of legit players is insanely small right now. RMAH is slowly dying, gold rarely sells on US even at the lowest required price, and they profit directly through RMAH transactions. It would be intresting to see the % of botters.

This is utter bullshit. You haven't a clue.

There is NO human interaction before a ban. Only time a human MIGHT get involved is during a dispute... period. Any criteria a HUMAN would use to decide if an account is breaking ToS or suspicious can be entered into criteria fields for a Warden banning module.

There is a handful of data analysts who determine the criteria... done deal.

How do you know this for a fact? Not being rude here, just want to know out of curiousity.

Here is some info for you guys regarding my recent ban: I was using both LATM's and Chancitys autoit bots

    Bot 1 ACTIVE (main)
    1) Botted since the end of June
    2) Actively played the AH, RMAH
    3) Actively traded gold
    4) Botted 16hrs a day
    5) Faster runs when compared to my 2nd bot
    6) Initiated gold trading transactions
    7) Played account from time to time which included other players

    Bot 2 BANNED (2nd acct)
    1) Botted with account for a week
    2) NEVER played the AH or RMAH
    3) NEVER initiated trade for gold or trades in general
    4) Botted approx 6 hr MAX per day (i couldnt get it to run stable)
    5) Actively played account from time to time which included other players
    6) Played logged in via Vmware never crosslinked with home PC (even though i doesnt matter, i didnt want to take a chance)

Based on what everyones been saying about how much you bot or how you treat your account, i dont think my 2nd bot would be considered a red flag botter when comparing to my 1st bot, but still he was banned whereas my main has been running strong since it started and is still intact. Who knows, maybe my main will be next in the ban wave but for the time being i dont see how my 2nd bot would get banned before my main. This is why I believe that Blizzard is banning accounts by random pick vs by those who run in higher frequencys or transactions.

as far as " ban waves and ip's "

Me and a friend were banned on a total of 6 accounts at the exact same insant(were in vent talking about the bans).

My brother downstairs was not banned (he never botted)
he was connected to the same router.

    these are facts
and im not some guy saying "they dont use ban waves" n' "they use all yer ipz"

Finally came, after weeks of around 22hrs a day:

    Server: EU
Bots: Mainly just NotAres DH Autoit script slightly modified running on a virtual machine, some zoom hack, a little AH botting (but never bought anything or running longer than 10 mins or so)
Earned: At last check it was around 120mill + Around 250 mill in sales.
Run Details: 22 or so hours a day, checking fairly regularly.
AH Activity: Some RMAH early on, only for around £100 or so, then just regular, keeping all slots busy.
Bought/Sold: Bought 20 million gold about a month ago from woweve to get me started.
    Main/Mule Status: Still safe....for now

    Just got the banhammer myself.

Botting 14-20 hours a day, Sarkoth bot using Chancity's 1400x900 wizard script. Total gold earned on character about 80m, not including drops and etc.

Overall I'm pretty bummed I lost my gf/mf gear, my main account remains untouched with the majority of the spoils from the bot. Just trying to decide if I want to buy another account and keep it going...
