Not getting any of the guides coming through on a clean install. Guess we need a new version of rested xp?

You may be able to find a way to have the old cata guides work, but until someone who's purchased the MoP guides sends them to Rain, we won't get the MoP content.

If someone does figure this out, still worth-while to post the steps to getting the existing Cata guides functioning in the pre-patch! Lots of people are leveling ATM.

A Quick Step-by-Step Guide on How to Get RXP Guides Working with the MoP Pre-Patch:

Go to the directory: RXP Leveling\Classic.

- There, you will see files with .lua extensions (these are written in Lua, a programming language that WoW also uses for addons).
- Open these files using your preferred text editor.
- Search for the text "#cata" and replace it with "#mop" (without the quotes).
- Even if you're playing Alliance, make sure to do this for all relevant files, for example, "Horde-31-85" as some guides contain quests for both factions.
- After making the replacements, the guides should appear ingame. You may still see the group name labeled for levels 1–80, but the 80–85 guides will also be available.

Edit: Nvm made it work. Reinstalled the whole restedxp setup and did what Alamandaros said, works. I got 1-85.

Hello everyone. I am writing through Google Translate. The method with replacing #cata with #mop helped. Another small tip on replacement, to quickly replace these hashtags in the notepad, use the combination CTRL + H.

Hello , in the file all i see it RXP leveling Retail + Era / i think there is a missing one the classic which contain the guides , any help ? can i know why it got removed and what items should i use now ?

Why removed? Better that than people spending hours complaining that it does not work.

The guides are made per expansion.

So cata will not work on mop until it is fixed

thank you Rain , i had a friend who shared with me the old files , and i used that replacement trick " cata " to " mop " , since i'm a new player and i don't know where to go , can i use the cata guide to get from level 1 to 85 ? i'm litteraly new and i can't play without the guide

Well it is said to work.

Seeing these Devs make it per expansion. So they make new guides and sell those again.
Other addons just work as normal. This addon forces people to pay for the new guides and make the old ones not work.

No... I think BlueRainSky actually full on removed the Classic/Cata portion in the Guide file . It now only has Era (HC/Era/SoD) & Retail, no Classic (Cata/MoP).

Edit: Found a download of the Guides from a few days ago and followed the above steps and can confirm, it works. As BlueRainSky has said 1000 times, you need to have two separate folders in your addons folder. One is the usual version of RXPGuides addon, the other is RXP Leveling. Within that leveling folder, navigate to RXP Leveling/Classic, and then edit all of the .lua files from #cata to #mop (You should have a total of 8 ).

Again, this will only work if you had the existing RXP Leveling guide downloaded that BlueRainSky had before. If you only have the new download, until he returns it to the folder it will not work.

Just to add onto this fix, this wont work with version 4.7.7 of the addon, but if you install version 4.7.6 it works great

Hello, Trying to get RXP Guides working with MoP pre-patch. Need the old "RXP Leveling\Classic" files or the download link mentioned earlier—current download doesn't have them. Anyone able to share? I Tried looking for them on different forums without success. pls priv me or respond here. Thanks.
