Extraction of what, am I to guess?

These are the reasons why people have 1-20, then post that it is 1-20

They installed the addon before and did not fully install it. Also refuse to remove all.
They install it to the wrong place.
They refuse to read the instructions
They do not want to say what they extracted it with. Reason? They choose to use the wrong or outdated software and then wonder why it does not work.

Seriously, can people not use Curseforge updater, wowup, or wagio updater? Instead, they want to download the file manually. Manually extract the file. Manually install the file. Repeat that every single time there is an update.
This is all because they do not want to use Clash Forge Updater, WoWUP, or Wages Updater to install and update the add-on. Aka, search, click, and install. Then, extract the guides with 7zip to the folder and overwrite.

Instead, they go to Curse Forge, download the addon, download my guides, install them and complain that it does not work. Then refuse to say what is wrong.
Why do I say that? Because they used the addon before and refused to delete the saved variables file. that is mostly the problem. Or they refuse to use the right software. Or they refuse to follow the simple instructions.

Or, as Petrospapadop claims, I hacked, cracked, or modified the add-on that they installed. So they think they downloaded the add-on, I accessed their PC, and I modified the add-on? Do I do that to all the people who install it?
When it they actually read what the developers said. I literally do exactly as the developers said to do.

So if you read my post and what to do in the first post like everyone else has.

They have it working and people who do not, clearly do not follow the instructions.

Yeah i will help you. First of all delete the restedxp folder completely from classic_era ---> interface ---> addons folder.

Then install restedexp from curseforge. Download the guides folder from 1st post and copy-paste and overwrite in the restedxp folder.

Then copy-paste the modified guides folder somewhere else.

Reinstall the addon.

Paste and overwrite back the previously modified guides folder.


You have to do it in the classic_era folder, not retail, classic ( classic is for cataclysm expansion) or something else folder.

What did you extract it with? No answer
Classic or vanilla? No answer. Oh but it is vanilla but you were installing it in to classic cata for some reason.
Did you delete the saved variables? No answer

That is the issue right?
People have the same issue over and over all because

1. They do not want to follow or read the instructions. They take the file, run and when it does not work then they say something.
2. They do not want to answer the questions given and then wonder why nothing is done.

3 years the same thing, the same questions. So not really knew to me.

So I have said to delete it more than 3 times and you have not? Then you wonder why there is an issue?

Would have been easier if you use curseforge updater, installed the addon and then in that section delete saved variables.

But I guess like other people, they download from curseforge, extract and move, repeat and repeat.
When they can just click update.
