Okay, its pretty easy to swap character models, but what about items?
I tried to look for specific items, but in the model.mpq all the items has a name like "Axe_1H_Alliance_D_01.m2", which is god knows what axe ....
How to search the in-game names in this?

I managed to find couple items with model viewer but not all, far from it. I set an item id as filter, and some items are show up, some are not. I tried to look thorough manually all the items, daggers for example, but I couldn't find my dagger, and a lot other dagger what I know.
Could you be more specific, how to find an item in the mpq files?

Thanks. In 10 years never seen something that spoon feeds it to ya. Noob question, but is it just my model that will change.. or all models?

Like for example, if I take a night elf model and switch it to human (as in the video)

yes you will, because if you have looked at the pandaren textures, they differently set up because its the new model. the face and arms are in different spots. to view the blp goggle blp converter and open as png in paint and you will know what i am talking about. you shouldn't have this problem when new models come in WoD

Yeah, I figured. No problem, I dont really like the pandaren look. I just wanted to try the animations, which is pretty cool, I'll tried to swap just the animation files, but with horrible results... wowerror and such
There is a topic about animation porting in this section, I'll give it a shot later.

yeah, animation swapping is done through .dbc editing or is in .m2 file. i cant remember. but in all reality, when model swapping, you dont need to swap .anim files.

    Nice guide, easy to follow.

Quality could've been a little better and would've been even better if he provided fixes for the problems he found at the end of the video, but informational nevertheless.

Just need to find the High Elf model now, Don't play Live anymore and no idea where to get it.

[Edit]: This Guide doesn't work for Vanilla.
