Just wondering, How do you edit a chestpiece since its not in the common.mpq files under ITEM/Objectcomponents? Is there another file that you can use?

keep getting error whenever i click the item i pick just brings me to this screen

If your getting this error the best thing yoou can do is this:

Go to your WarcraftStudio Folder and if you see theres a file called BLPCraft.dli Change the .dli to .dll orsomthin I dont remember that good cuz I've changed my file like half a year ago.. so if your having the problem and your file is somthin with .dli change it to .dll (atm I've .dll and dont got the erro thingy so)

i suppose this is considered model editing, but i do not know how to apply sumthin like this, because i PHAILED MISERABLY tryin to model edit, do you think you can link me a very clear guide, or maybe even walk me through it on MSN, thanks. +rep because im liking this skin changing.

btw.. i dont understand -> 9. Make it into an MPQ with the right treepath
treepath? and with what program should i use to make it to a MPQ file again? ... i've done verything but i can't replace the one i made with the orginal.

Pack, Create new archive, put it in data folder and name it patch-x.mpq (x = 3-9, a-z) then you choose "add file to archive", add your custom .BLP, rename, and paste in the treepath that u get from the original by rightclicking it in MWCS -> Copy Treepath -> Paste in the "rename" slot. Save and close.

Is it alright if I ask again a few questions? I've edited some other textures then armor, but still I get the same results, with same results I mean that they are just black only. Here's an example:



This is when it's zoomed in, when I zoom out the whole texture is black.

and this is the texture:



It's based of "Helm_Leather_RaidRogue_A_01.blp" , and just like the other .blp files I just get a black texture like the one above if I edit the texture. I edit the textures in paint just like the guide said, so I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. Is the problem MWCS or WoW itself?

Did you create new .MPQ file and called it patch-(a number).MPQ?

Set your MWCS to only view .blp files and u can't miss.
