Hi, I tried to follow the Guide but it seems that I made something wrong.

WoW can't open my common.mpq on startup. It says: common.mpq can not be found.
But its there! Ive checket it!

What I did:
I extrakted a .blp then modified it with paint and then made it a .blp again. Then I renamed the original .blp in the mpq and importet the new one with mwcs. Then I named it like the old one was named before. It displayed correctly in the Programm. It was in the right place and I could view it. Then I saved the commond.mpq and left. -> WoW had an error on startup
After this I deletet my custom .blp and renamed the original one. The error remained.

Any ideas?

You didn't edited common.mpq didn't you???, because if you edit that or expansion.mpq your whole wow is f*cked up, don't ever change common.mpq and expansion.mpq because they are the primary files that wow needs, you must actually create a new .mpq file and name it patch-3 for example. Not editing the mpq itself, unless you want to screw your wow.

okay i download both programs now. but i still dont understand... am i suppose to Extract the thing i choose to the MPQ folder and overwrite it? because i dont know how to work BLP Convert it shows 1 box like the Promp command. but please explain how i should do this. =D! i got stuck in the BLP converting.. kinda????=D

hmm.. I followed the guide and edited the skin of draenei hair, but when i started wow, i got a crash telling me that wow was corrupted... reinstalling wow while i'm posting this ^_^

You drag the blp file and drop it onto the convertor, then there should be a new file that appeared that is compatable with paint ect.

Obviously you did something wrong, I can't tell you what because there are many ways this could happen. Sorry for that inconvienance.

I'm having trouble >.< lol, i dunno if im making the MPQ correctly or if im doing something wrong... lol for one thing im trying to edit the Character (i.e Night Elf) but i cant seem to get it to work... =/ heh i wanna make it so its like.... Dark Night Elves where its black not bright blue/peach colored with most of the spells like (for now in patch 2.1.0) concussive shot. I dont think im making the MPQ correctly.. (Using MPQMaster) but umm.. ya, if you could explain exactly what to do in making an MPQ, i must be missing something
