It happened to me, I just painted and returned it to BLP..and it worked..it looks blurry, but when you put it into WoW, it's ok.
I made this to test it!:
This guide was a bit common sense to me, but for others that need help its really cool

As I'm getting ready to start doing a little of this reskinning myself, I've come to realize that if you do use paint, shading could become a real pain, so to perhaps save myself some time, does anyone know if you have to do the shading yourself or if it is done by some ingame mechanics?
ok, so I went in to edit right? and I ended up with a BLACK Elekk
how do I fix this? I tried moving it around all the different elekk files, but sometimes they wouldn't stay? and if someone could tell me WHICH file this should go under I'd greatly appreciate it. It's the RidingElekkPvPBlack.blp in MyWarcraftStudio.
(basically I just need the treepath I think?) so I can get it back in the right place
EDIT: Okay, so somehow I ended up making it so my game crashes upon start up so I had to repair the game so it SHOULD be reset, but if someone could send me a personal message with some advice on what I might have done wrong, I'd rly appreciate it

can I use this same concept for armor for instance Id like to change the colors on shield from pink and yellow to something more non gay. Or do I have to go about it a different way.
Ummm, can you explain the last part to me?I edited a texture from Common.mpq (Creature skin edit) and then I pressed on Pack and create .mpq and I added my custom .blp into there.. then what do I do? How do I set the treepath and whatever...? And then does it matter what name I save the .mpq as? And then I put the mpq along with the other mpqs in the WoW directory right? (Sorry, I'm new to this.)
Thanks! We can make some pretty edits now ;D
Thb im never going to use this - but i read it all and was impressed to say the least - +rep for making a ub3r guide
