Custom Loading screen request (MATURE)

Maybe you should create another thread about that issue, seeing as it's kinda off-topic to this thread.

You must of done something with your .MPQ file though, which one was it? Can't be a normal modelchange because that wouldn't damage WoW...

When you opened it via notepad you must of deleted some code or some shit, I don't see how you would have to reinstal WoW though, ask a mate to send you the .MPQ file you ****ed up, or just repair it?

Well... Just reinstall WoW then, you didn't really say how this problem was caused, except that you opened it with notepad so it's pretty hard to help out.

On Topic: Anyone who has any idea at all how to fix this loading screen? Maybe we could use some help from an expert.

When I opened the file it removed the .mpq from the end of every .mpq files name, technically they are still mpq files but they arnt named patch-1.mpq and stuff like that
and when i reinstall its just gonna do it again

Actually it doesn't, I just wanted a new loading screen and this was the best I could find and I guess it would be pretty cool to have this one for a while.

Also fun to see what your mates would say when you changed their loading screen to this one. LOL!

Uh...? Change the files name back to .MPQ at the end, and it should work then?

First of all, get BLPConverter, make your loading screen.. Save it as PNG (ONLY 512x512 works!!) drag the file over the Converter and Encode it (The Converter will now make a .blp file), place the blp's right and make a .mpq

So easy.. Could check my file and see how its done right!

Works for me, ain't the best quality anymore but it's still worth having I guess, pretty cool.

What do you do? Put it in data, rename it to Patch-#.MPQ and use the model editing fix.exe?

i never said i didn't play wow. even if i didn't i still have the right to be here, it's not like its a "WoW Players Only" section.

anyways, i guess its different for me, bunch of people who're related to me always come over and if they see that loading screen, well, you wouldn't want to know.
