God its been AGES since I logged in here. Hi guys! From anonymous poking around the forum I don't recognize very many people nowadays, so I'll assume none of you recognize me either, no worries! whatever!
Anyway, I used to be pretty heavy into WoW modding back in the days of broken noggit (I'll assume it's still broken?) and Taliis etc. Though with all the WoW Patching going on and multiple client installations and several hardware failures I switched back to Source SDK for a slightly more stable and constructive development environment. Having said that, I absolutely love the terrain shaping in WoW and plan on using it as a quick-build landscape prototype engine for my existing projects.
I know that all this information is scattered in the forum somewhere or other, but there are SO many different tools flying around that I'd prefer to reach out to the experts - if there are any nowadays - for your opinion on the best tools out there right now. Note; if these tools are restricted to contributor forums then donations will be pledged for access if possible.
I vaguely remember there being a Modcraft project in the works around the time I packed this stuff in, and from what I gather that seems to have evolved into a team (schlumpf and co.?) redeveloping Noggit. Though that's as far as I could physically get with info. Shine a light on this if you can please
So, my ultimate question(s) is; What is the community using nowadays as a stable(ish) all-round editing tool (or tools) for wow - Primarily Level Editors - and what Version of WoW do these tools run on?
Thanks in advance!
