Can i get hacked trough a .exe file

Hey guys someone told me that he had a cracked version of a program where i normally have to pay for when before i opened the file it said it was a packed exe done by multi packer by shocker when i opened i got the windows screen that i needed to accept because it could changes to my system ( the standard popup ).
When i pressed yes it didnt do anything....
Now it found a trojan inside now i know sometimes programs containt a unharmful virus.
I have scanned with NOD32 and Hitman Pro and it found some files and i deleted them am I safe now?

what is the program it was supposed to be, what were the viruses found with NOD?

In any situation when i find any malware, i just wipe the drive clean and start over. problem solved, no worrying about if the AV found everything and cleaned it up. Running any .exe you dont know anything about is bad news bears.

Depends how complicated the virus is, or if it was some Project Neptune scriptkitty shitty keylogger, etc. Your best bet is to go download AVG AV and scan your computer. Chances are, it isn't something elaborate that will bury itself in your computer. In response to your title, of course you could get hacked by an executable file, it's the most common form of viruses.

Edit: Or if your computer offers it, you could easily system restore to an earlier date. I find this way to be the safest and easiest.

Umm yes. and if u guys thing any antivirus is worth shit out there ur dead wrong . Buying a 10$ custom Crypt of any file will make a good old RAT client working to use a Keygen .

Sam0883 is right, any .exe or .scr for that matter can easily be a RAT and its very easy to crypt it to be fully undetectable by any antivirus. if i where you i would do one of a couple things, format your harddrive reinstall windows. or get an authenticator. (although even with an authenticator if a rat is on your system he can log in while your afk thrue your computer)
