[Help] DBC Edit for Size Change

    Good morning!

I've been working on this edit for some time to change Hawkstriders to various re-colored spectral tigers. It looks very cool, but the mounts themselves end up being far too small for the rider (you know that little toy spectral cat? Think of that) no matter what race.

I would be eternally grateful if someone could point me to a good beginners guide on how to edit the DBC to change the size of the hawkstriders so that I could post the finished product. I've never done a DBC edit before, so this is a fairly large step in model editing for me; if anyone also has any suggestions, I would be deeply appreciative. Thanks all!

Keep in mind that you might need the DBC file from a different MPQ as the guide is rather old. Also, for editing the DBC file, I recommend using Taliis.

I vaguely recall DBC editing mount size also messing up the character size or some such. In that case you may try Glitchy's model resizer. (For this you'll need to edit either the original spectral tiger model, or you can edit Glitchy's Model Editing Suite\DATA\LIST\MainList.txt to point to (only) your custom patch's model so that you can set it as the work file)

Hmm, that's definitely some good info to take into consideration. Thank you VERY much! I'll check out that link This is sounding maybe a bit too complicated for me lol, I like nice simple model edits. Would you need WoWME if you have to edit the DBC to increase the size of a creature? I know if I do a texture and M2 swap, I don't need to.

Last time I checked you didn't need a fix for any edit, but I don't play anymore. Really though, all there is to the DBC edit is finding one number and changing it.
