Re: Announcement: Ingame Model Mover to be released.

Yeh,many people here just wanna use it on the private server, and it would be very usefull because adding gameobjects doesnt work in much repacks and databases.

So please release it,and maybe it would b enough to make it restricted,so everybody who uses a own server shall get it and the others who dont have than not.

Re: Announcement: Ingame Model Mover to be released.

Woo this is my first post in a while and I thought this would be a good subject here. So I don't think that you should release this program, fine with limitation but as stated before it would be pretty much deemed useless with the limitations. But without limitations it is more than likely in fact almost certain this WILL be abused. I think you should keep this for yourself my friend, you deserve it, if you created or even helped create it then kudos to you. You have created an amazing program, and this program can do quite a bit of stuff, but it will be abused. If you want to release it, go to the GM's now I'm almost certain that you have already released a nonstripped program there. But if you do release the stipped version here, it might or might not get cracked. So your taking a chance there, but for the people who want to learn, create, and understand, this would be a HUGE experiance. I would love this program if I still played World of Warcraft. But I think for the people like idusy this would be amazing, I think they would put it to good use. I don't think the people who are saying "l33t 1 c4n ch34t 1n WSG!!111", these people do not understand what this program means to the people who want to create and learn. Also those people do not care what happends as long as they can have a good time for an hour and a half before this gets nerfed. I would tell you to release it in the Contributor Section, but I don't think that would make the situation any better, seeing MMOwned in these recent days. I would tell you not to release this at all, and save it for yourself, you owe it to yourself really. I don't think most of the people on this site would put it to all that good of use anyways, but people who would put it to good use deserve but sadly they most likely will never get to use it. But you know what guys it's okay, because you passed it up for a good cause.
As for the comment that UnKnowned said I highly doubt that Malu05 and Dopefish are working on a hack, no doubt Malu05 is but Dopefish at least I don't think supports hacking. He was pretty much everything in the Nogg Aholics their leader at least and he was one of the main reasons why there was no hacking allowed in the Nogg Aholics if I'm correct. But you know maybe I'm wrong maybe he has changed or something a shame it would be. But again Wired I hope this post has made you think, and help you make your decision on release this program.

Tbh MMOwned is about sharing, if it wasnt, then we wouldnt be this big. release it limited so people can get eager to work it out themselves.

Re: Announcement: Ingame Model Mover to be released.

Yes Kurios is it about "sharing" but there are limitations to that sharing. If there was NO limitations and we shared EVERYTHING then there would be no Elite Guide Section. So it may be about sharing but if it's going to get everything nerfed (reffering to Model Editing) then why release it. If there was a hack (this is just an example) that got everything nefed it was released would you release it? I don't think so.. Same situation, so it is about sharing but there are some things that shouldn't be shared.

Well seeing as none of the "releasers" are contribs or above, it is kinda hard for them to release it in those sections...
also would you rather have missed out on something great, just because it "could" get nerfed. always living with the thought that your paranoia made u miss it I can't

It's not paranoia, it's knowing that it is going to get nerfed. There is no doubt in my mind that if the full, unstripped version of this program is released it will get nerfed, not only the program but model editing as a whole. Now I no longer play, I no longer model editing but it still means a lot to me, and a lot of my friends enjoy it to. So yes I would rather it not be released. Also it is possible for them to release it in the Contributor section. Leoj did it, so I know he could do it to. I don't want him to though because it will stiill most likely get abused. Because of the way MMOwned is set up, anywhere on this site really isn't safe.

These people are the perfect example of why it shouldn't be released. He's very obviously eager to have it, but I think if he really cared for it anymore then he cares for his Glider and Cheat Engine, he would have taken the time to read at least one recent post and understood what was going on to some degree. But of course, that is what to expect from here.

Re: Announcement: Ingame Model Mover to be released.

Thank you idusy for agreeing, but my huge wall of text goes for EVERY program not released here because of the people who will abuse. I'm sorry, but it's quite imature in a sense, the people who want to exploit Battle Grounds, Instances, and other exploits you are honestly ruining it for the people who want to put it to good use. This is going to be my last post on the subject but I want everyone to think about what kind of amazing things can be done with this and how people who want to abuse it are ruining it for the artists, the imaginer, the maker. The people who could really do cool things with this. So bye everyone for awhile, but honestly this is sad day when yet another tool is not going to be released because we have to think about people abusing it.

Re: Announcement: Ingame Model Mover to be released.

While I personally would very much enjoy using this program in its unrestricted form, I know that a public release is a bad idea. Don't release it at all, just make some cool movies. If you need ideas for them, I'm sure some of the more advanced model editors here would have plenty of ideas. Maybe even just PM it to idusy or someone trustworthy for them to distribute to the proper people to make good use of it.

Well you're the most prominent figurehead! I keep my stuff mostly hidden for fear of being banned and/or it getting nerfed.
