i got rid of the smoothing problem on the blade of the weapon. what i did was just cutting it in 2 .. this way the faces aren't connected and make a smooth clean line ... but i have been looking around in wow and i noticed that almost 99% of every model in wow doesn't have smoothing groups but is just totally smoothed ... and with they're textures they make it look like something is actually sharp .. so basically we all should make less complex models and learn to texture like mad man to avoid smoothing problems xD
