But yeah ofcours every noob can become some elite kus its just about getting 325 reps you can get for the most smallest edits.. so i also cant agree on that.. -.-.. damn this is like a big puzzle! and im not good with puzzles!! hope the mmowned owners are

Edit: Sorry if i had read wrong.. but maybe we can put a max on posting threads a day in the model editing section. 1 thread in a week.. that means peoples have more time to spend on there model edits to make a much better/bigger one.

    Gideon,
The solution is actually quit simple. People submit an edit, the moderaters Then approve or delete it. If it's approved, then it becomes available for download. If it doesn't meet the standards of the site, the thread is deleted. Here's model of what I mean: Warcraft III Models

Keeps the noobs from posting crap, and makes them strive to impress someone before they can be published. I think it will make people want to impress not only noobs, but the moderaters as well, and thus produce better work. Now we either need to set up something like this here to stop the flood of anyone posting whatever crap they want, or we start over and do this right.

Yes, That's also some very good idea but i dont think its eazy. bekus they would have to change alot into this site/forum to can do that.

But still we can better discuss this with the moderaters/owners of mmowned. Bekus if it still is going like this nothing will happen.

Why all this drama, why can't we just let the noobs(I am one myself ofc) post? Okay it's nothing compared to Andrige's work, but they still put effort in it.

And do you actually think people will come here if such system is implented? This is an 'underground' forum and there are a lot of leechers here. And some of those leechers wanna try it themselves, they post it here to get some feedback. But if you implent the abovementioned system, people will not have the urge to make edits at all.

Because there is no feedback between their startingwork and their approved edits. You can say I'm a noob or that I must get the hell out, but I have studied motivation-theories and how stupid it may sound this is a perfect example of doing it wrong.

There never was much motivation, due to it being illegal and the limited possibilities(compared to Oblivion) plus most of the leechers are on official servers and with the recent detection a lot of people stopped using them and will probally not going to make any edits at all.

Just my two cents, but the first thing that needs to be done is to make clear whether you can be detected with this new anti-detection system or not. If they can't be detected, some people will feel the urge to make edits again. And after that you can implent a new system, event though I'm against that system I also regret the fact that some people post crap and other people don't.

Isn't there an option to give negative rep? Because if it is and used correctly, threads will perish eventually due to the negative feedback or other threads will persist due to the good rep.

When Simple Reskins, and model edits get more attention than a world build.... something that took hours, days or weeks. then thats the time i bounce. so take care. and enjoy your rainbow sheep, and reskins.
yes it is sad that it will create more attention, but guess what, that is what the members wants... U guys had the elite section where only those that were invited could get in, dont blame us for u guys not using it... as we said when we allowed it, it was here where you guys could dictate how the ME section should be.
    so say thanks to yourselves.

Uhm then sry to say, but you made the hole for the water to flow in--

    Model editing an art
If its an art, go and do it on priv servers, its still an art there, u just cant epeen to other players on live servers.

Have to agree about the flood of very poor edits...
...it would be great if there was a way to get it more elitist and thus bring more quality to the modelediting. I'd be happy to move my pack to another location if there was something similiar to the Nogg community for example, there's stuff I would want to do but I just don't think it can be done in here.

Modelediting section is not dead... but it's just less of what it used to be.
And I have to agree with Jinrohk that regular edits such as altering models and skins just are more popular because people want to enhance their gaming rather than create a new one for them from the ground up.

Edit: didn't even know there was an elite section for edits.

The section was only for those that were invited and proved themselves worthy, meaning donators, elites, legendaries didnt get auto access.
and the model editors in this section were told that they were the ones to say how model editing should be on mmowned.
So if u are unhappy, you should yell at the ones with "Model editing expert" tag

Should have expected that kind of response from you

But really, how did we make things worse? As far as I can see, I've been trying to help MMOwned all I can. People just seem to be rejecting it though.

It's kinda hard to explain. you'd need to be a model editor / advanced model editor to see it I think. And you being an admin and all, you aren't going to see it either. It's your job to have complete faith in your community and that's fine I guess.

If you looked at the situation from another point of view, then you might understand it better.

    Lawl drama

Ok heres my take on the situation even though I haven't ME'd in 6 months, I am still better then 1/2 you fools.

Model editing as a whole is not dieing and will overall be hard to kill with dedicated people. As long as a fix continues to be made Model Editing will continue to strive forward, however on MMOwned is seems to be faltering. All you see now is Reskins. What happened to zone changes? What happened to people actually MAKING things. That is what Model Editing is truly about. Turning your welfare epics into 'super uber godly wtfhax' epics makes you look dumb and has been trivialized with certain programs that have been put out there.

    But thats just my twocents

I think you misunderstood me. I was talking about Model editing in general, not on mmowned.
You are the one who released everything from Nogg. You are the one who released the world edits and BG edits. YOU are the one who brought Model editing into the eyes of all the exploiters. I dont mind it personally, because imo its just another way of exploiting wow.

If you were talking about Model editing on MMOwned, then you should look at your tag and blame urself, you had every power to change it, more than most ME experts.

This wasn't a goodbye thread by the way.
It's a reflection on what is wrong in our eyes here and a little advice too.
Yeah, we won't be so active and won't be posting a bunch and won't be releasing edits here, but if you think about it, we haven't for a long while anyway. What's changed? Not much. No reason to get pissed off at us. We're just looking for new challenges and opportunities because they aren't being presented here. No one wants to live in a place where the quality as gone down, quantity has gone up and is infested with leechers.

Would you want to live in a neighborhood with a bunch of people asking you for money everywhere you go and at every chance they get? Probably not.

I seem to recall you and Matt asking him to release the edits. Dont blame Demon for that
