I can understand your frustration, I really do. I'm by no means a pro editor but I am learning more advanced stuff day by day with each edit I do even if they are in essence model swaps and reskins, but I'm trying to do something new and fresh rather than just recoloring Ashbringer to red&black or something similar. I even had someone steal a frostmourne skin I had been working on and post it without my permission, but you cant let these leechers & n00bs get to you. They were here before and will always be here. You will always have those ppl who want something for nothing putting forth no effort and only taking, never giving. We are the givers yet thats where our passion comes from is coming up with that new edit noone else thought of and showing it off by releasing it. I hope you change your mind about leaving, but if you dont I as one of the hopeful upcoming editors wish you well and thank you for your contribution to our hobby.

AZO and Demon are among the best, I barely know merfed and The Lex so I cant really say much bout them >.>. Personally I am going to continue Model Editing because as Hock stated above.

I wish to be among the greats one day, this is a good hobby of mine i enjoy it and its what makes wow fun. even if its dead I will edit till Blizzard completely shuts edits out completely.

I mean i do agree it would be nice if more people would try more advanced stuff and shit, but i really don't see a why you have to get all emo about this :<.

i don't really care if i gain equal the amount of quality in edits when i post something .. its about you making something you like and sharing that with the community .. there is really nothing more to it.

But the reason model edits and skins are more popular than world edit, is because they are MUCH more used and can be used on normal servers!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but not all world edits can be implented on real servers. And it's also much more difficult to create those than simple skins.

It's not difficult creating a simple reskin of a weapon, and it's least harmful. And you have got to considerd that people are TAKING great risks using model edits. And ever considered that the majority is not nterested in a world edit.
I've seen pics of the Barrens and it was absolutly amazing, but who comes in the barrens nowadays anyway?

And maybe you expected to much appreciation from the people who use the skins? I'm pretty sure they respect your talents, but model editing is a bannable offence and even linking posts or threads regarding these matters will get you banned on normal fora aswell. This isn't Oblivion, wherer the developers support model editing. This is a MMO where the slightest adjustment can allow one to have an advantage. And the border between cheating and just model editing is very small.

And unfortunatly this site contains A LOT of content that's even illegal in real life, this forum has got a lot of people who are masters is falsifying license, hack accounts, ...
I might have turned different when it was a site only for model editing...but I cannot predict the future

I stopped modelediting half a year ago,its just demotivating when you put so much effort in and all you get is a /golfclap or a "LOL CAN U MAKE DOWNLOAD LOLLZ " meanwhile some presses ctrl+u and moves the hue fader a bit gets "OMG D00D THATS UBER HAWT LOL REP LOL !!!!"
I never rly like mmowned anyways, but now the last bastion is diieng,

We've already got that Laton. And it's pretty dead in there.
We're going to need a whole new community of people.

Really. We either need to set up a community with some damn standards or implement some here. And idiot could put out 5 recolors a week and get contrib like that, which people seem to be doing. If anyone feels like setting up a new community, I'm right behind ya, and would gladly help in anyway I could.

I cant agree with that. Mmowned is big why would be need to make a new community? noobs are everywhere on the net you cant stop them. They are like nasty trojans. maybe we can decrease the needs of being some elite user to enter the better model editing section so more can go there. But yeah ofcours every noob can become some elite kus its just about getting 325 reps you can get for the most smallest edits.. so i also cant agree on that.. -.-.. damn this is like a big puzzle! and im not good with puzzles!! hope the mmowned owners are

Edit: Sorry if i had read wrong.. but maybe we can put a max on posting threads a day in the model editing section. 1 thread in a week.. that means peoples have more time to spend on there model edits to make a much better/bigger one.
