    [Work In Progress] Scythe-Soul Eater

    Sorry I wasn't aware that someone else had already did this, so hopefully I won't be flamed for this =(..

    Anyways I've just began creating models, this is the first time i've really tried to create something, so I know it's not the best.




    I have no textures for it at the moment mainly because i've never textured before, my goal though is to get it textured and eventually get it working in WoW. As you can see i'm a ways off, but I hope to get it done soon(ish). Keep in mind this is my first model so don't be too harsh, if you have any tips on how to improve it i'd greatly appreciate it.

    Again I want to apologize to [Soul Eater] I wasn't aware you had done this before sorry !

    Looking good so far, except the blade is looking a bit.. Strange... Scythe blades tend to be almost straight, but with that curve at the end.

    It's nice, but you might want to make the blade more smooth, looks like you've done it with lineart or something, if so just do lineart when you are in brezier/smooth mode, not corner, that makes it look blocky.

    But for the rest it's nice, just learn to UVW Map too and then make the textures in photoshop, the texture is not that hard to make of Soul Eater, the only difficult thing then is the glance on it further nothing.

    And np at all, as long as you make it on your own I don't care if you make the same things as me, as long as you don't rip it off from me lol.

    As for the lineart, I actually did it with cylinders and box's not sure if that's noob, but that's how I did it =p I'll have to learn UVW mapping first, I do plan on smoothing the blade out though, I was just wondering are there any rules to the way I can texture it if I want to port it into WoW?

    There are no rules, the only rules is that it must be a BLP that got size 128, 256, 512. For the rest there are no rules.

    I did the coordinates for the UVW, but then painted it in photoshop, but I can't figure out how i'm supposed to get it back into 3dsmax to render it, or anything for that matter i've tried google everything with no luck.. if anyone knows please let me know, thanks in advance!
