Hello. This is my first contribution on this site for a long time. I visit the site diary and I see a lot of leechers that sadly do nothing to earn 5 Reputation. In this first Chapter, I will talk about Copy/Pasted Guides.
1- First of all, it is always good to give the source from where you found the information.
For instance, Posted on WoW Guide Forums or the Web address Can be Good. Telling the writer's name is also fun to know. NEVER take credit for something you haven't done.
2-The second point, which is probably the most important, is TO MAKE SURE that nobody, or at least one person, has posted this guide before. Let's take the guide for example:
WoW Grinding Guide Alliance | Grinding Guide
I Have seen this guide at least 20 times in this site. Let's say if you think that you find a new guide. Let's take Jame's leveling guide for example. YOu could just use the search button and either type '' Jame'' or ''wow-pro'' to see if someone has already posted. Of course, if this guide has been posted a year ago, no one should flme you. However, seeing that same guide three times in the same month/ week is harrassing. If you see that u posted something that have already been posted, you could just send a private mail to an admin and ask him to delete ur post, or do it by yourself.
3- Make sure when you copy/paste that the guide will be readable.
People hate wall of text. When you just copied it, just click on preview post rather than submit thread. Then, you will be able to see if your text is readable. This is also good to when you Write your own guide. Also, make sure you don't use colors that are hard to read. For example, orange isn't that bad, but pink isn't good.
Well, that's most of it for first chapter. Next week subjet: The Difference between a good guide and an Epic guide.
Note: I would like that some people make comments by themselves for my guide.
