Aight. I haven't contributed to this site since a long time, so I decided to write this guide.


PROTECTION PALADIN GUIDE


Introduction


The paladin is not always an easy class to level. However, there is an easy way to level fast and safely. If you spec correctly, you can take easily 4-5 mobs of your level and finishing the fight with almost full health and mana.

Pros

You have a lot of survivability. You can easily solo an elite of your level. With your bubble and lay on hands could also help you when you are in critics situations.

In pvp, you are harder to kill.

It is also possible to tank with this spec.

Cons

You kill slower than a retribution paladin with you fight a single mob.

You don't have any damage reduction against casters.





Buffs that you should have.

Let's say that you can really start to Aoe Grind before level 32-33. AT this point, you should be specced like this.

Essentials Talents

Redoubt

Damaging melee and ranged attacks against you have a 10% chance to increase your chance to block.

It is much better than devotion aura. WIth shield spikes and BoS, it will upgrade your damage done.

Imp. Righteous fury

Reduces damage done by 6%. It is useful because any damage reduction is good.

Blessing of Sanctuary

Probably the best talent in this tree. Reduces the damage taken and wil do damage if the paladin blocks an attack.

Reckoning.

Another strong talent. You will put judgement of wisdom or light on your target and the extra swings will give you extra live or mana.


Guide not finished yet. I'll probably give spot grinding spots and the effiency grinding technique tomorrow.

This is just what i was looking for, my friend is almost lvl 70 paladin and we been planing to do some AOEing at 70, he alredady has the sheild from sporrgor which works rly nicely. Also the old pre-bc sheild the flameskull shield works well too.
