I made 200 [Plain Letter] and sold them on ah for 100g eatch.
In the trade chat i say " im quiting wow and all my gold / pets are in a lottery on AH as [Plain Letter]!
100g buyout. The prize are all my gold and pets i earned after 9 years wow playing . Up to 10k gold and alot of pets in a single letter.

I send this mess 10-15 times in 30 min and after one hour all 200 letters vere sold.

Baaam 20000g in ONE hour..

Question is.. can i be banned for this?

Yes, you can be banned for this. This is as old as vanilla (when I used to run a lottery).

But this is not a casino.. it is a lottery. Were ppl buy tickets on ah.. it is up to the players what they want to spend the gold on.. but mybe you are right.

You're spamming and making the gaming experience for others less enjoyable. If you were to do this, I would recommend a cheap level 1

im not spamming /2 now i sell for 250g and ppl buy like crazy.. i cant say it is spam when im say in trade every 5-10 min.. Spam for me is when ppl say same thing 2-3 / min..

Are you actually putting items in the letters like you say you are, or are you flat out cheating them? That's where the bannable offense comes into play I would say.

So anyone buying this was either drunk out of their mind or just really dumb. Unless they changed something then im pretty sure this cant be done.

It was only a plain letter that say like "sorry better luck next time"
In trade i say it was a lottery and some of the letters culd give you gold or pets. trade the card or mail it to me to get the reward. Just made around 30k total on this in 3-4
hours.. But ppl started to complaine ALOT in the chatt so i gave up this.. But it worked as fast gold.

Anything that is based on luck is against the rules to do. If it requires skill, it is not.

Hiya, anything involving gambling based on a random factor is against the rules. If it relies on skill, it's okay. So you could have an arrangement between friends that whoever wins a duel or a quiz for example will win some gold, but taking a collection then deciding the winner with a /roll or other random method is a no-no unfortunately.

Overall though, anything involving giving gold to other players is risky, as we usually can't help if there are any disputes.

i was in contact with gm today and i told them what have done and they say if someone report me for doing this i get max 3 hours ban but after i contacted them BEFORE anyone else did the say nothing going to happen with my account. they dont suspend or ban ppl that "give them self in"

If you continue doing research, you'll find that it's a grey area that another blue post recommends staying out of. And as LoveOne pointed out:

It's ANY chat. That includes /whisper, /say, /yell, /guild, /party, /general, /trade, anything. Any and all chats. If you make your own channel, from my experience, you'll still get banned if you advertise in that channel. You have the obnoxious people that'll join the channel and report you every time you say anything in it basically.

They will extend this duration each time you're banned, by significant amounts. After my 2nd ban was up (which lasted 1 week), I was told a repeated abuse would result in a permanent ban.
