    Shartuul's Transporter event guide

    Shartuul's Transporter (event)

Who? Boss (??) level Eredar called Shartuul. 6 mil. hp - soloable.

Where? Blade's Edge Mountains, north from Ogri'la.

    Why? Phat lewt.

    How?

Basic requirements: Ogri'la - Honored. Working pet-bar + Clearly visible pet debuffs.
Spec/gear requirements: None. You will be mind controlling a demon.
Optional enchancements: [Charged Crystal Focus]. They help a shitload on first tries.

Once you have obtained honored reputation with Ogri'la (Obtained by completing daily quests.), you will be able to do [70] Banish More Demons. Completing this daily quest will reward you Kronk's Grab Bag which has 20-25% chance to contain a Darkrune. Take the Darkrune to Gahk at the center of Ogri'la and you recieve [Crystalforged Darkrune]. Once you have recieved the Crystalforged Darkrune, you are ready to start heading to Shartuul's Transporter.

The encounter starts by targeting the Felguard patrolling around the Transporter, and using the Crystalforged Darkrune on him.

    Phase 1: The Felguard

    Abilities:

    Mortal Strike (3 sec cd)
Melee hit that deals roughly 10k damage. Enough to usually single shot the trash mobs.
    Mighty Whirlwind (25 sec cd)
Deals 3-4k damage every second for 5 seconds to all targets in melee range.
    Terrifying Roar (15 sec cd)
    Area fear, wide range.
    Chaos Charge (15 sec cd)
Charges an opponent within 8-35 yd range and deals roughly 20k damage to all hostiles near your target.
    Smash Shield (25 sec cd)
Hurls a hammer towards the shield on Shartuul's Transporter.
Ultimate: Absorb Life (Consumes 1 Crystal Focus when used.)
Deals heavy area damage and heals your demon for the damage done. This seems to be channeled spell so I'd recommend to fear and then use it.

Start with Smash Shield. Use this ability whenever its not on cooldown. When first Felhounds spawn you can easily kill them with just Mortal Strike. When first Imps spawn I move to 10 yd distance from the Imp and wait for the Felhounds to come to melee range. Then I charge to the Imp and all the Felhounds will die to the resulted blast wave from Chaos Charge. Keep doing this for all the spawns and it's easy as pie. Remember to use Smash Shield ability whenever its not on cooldown. You can see the durability of the Transporter's shield on the top middle of your screen. The mini-boss will be released when the shield is down.

Fighting the Doomguard: After shield is down, all the trash mobs shoud despawn, and the Doomguard is released. Fear, Charge, spam Mortal Strike. Repeat. In case the fear resists, try to get some distance and use charge, or wait for the fear cooldown to pass. Should be pretty easy even for first try. After the Doomguard reaches 1% of health your "soul" will be transfered to the Doomguard and you will be able to control it.

    Phase 2: The Doomguard

    Abilities:

    Punishing Blow (3 sec cd)
Similiar to Mortal Strike in phase 1. Triple damage if target is stunned. Also Reduces the damage done by your target for 50% for a short period of time.
    Fel Flames (15 sec cd)
Frontal cone flame breath, roughly 3k damage every second for 8 seconds.
    Throw Axe (8 sec cd)
Hurls an axe to target within 5-45 yd range dealing damage and stunning the target for 3 seconds.
    Consume Essence (30 sec cd)
Deals roughly 40k damage to the targeted Gan'arg within 10-40 yd range, healing your demon for the damage done.
    Super Jump (15 sec cd)
Stuns opponents around you, jumps in the air and lands to targeted enemy within 5-45 yd. Stuns targets around you also when landing.
Ultimate: Dive-Bomb (5 min cd, consumes 2 Crystal Focus when used.)
Doomguard raises into air, becoming immune to all damage and reflecting all spells cast on him. Starts bombing the enemies below.

There will be no shield to break in this phase. The Shivan Assasin will be released when you have killed 3 Mo'arg (Big engineer demon). The first trash wave will consist of couple of small Gan'arg demons. This will be a good opportunity to test you abilities since they dont really do noticerable damage. The three most used abilities are Super Jump, Punishing Blow and Throw Axe. Both Super Jump and Throw Axe stun the target(s) and Punishing Blow deals triple damage to the stunned target.

Dealing with the Gan'arg (smaller demons) is easiest to start with Super Jump. As soon as you land, start whacking them with Punishing Blow. Use Fel Flames in between cooldowns to deal area damage to them. Occasionally the Gan'arg run away for short distance and start summoning a Fel Cannon. Interrupt with either of the stunning abilities and kill them. The Fel Cannons can be dealed with a single Punishing Blow in case they spawn.

When a Mo'arg spawns (only one will spawn at time with few smaller ones), stun him with Super Jump, hit Punishing Blow, get some distance, Throw Axe and go hit him with a Punishing Blow. This should either kill him or leave him with 15% or less health. While the Gan'arg are free, they can channel a shield to the Mo'arg making them immune to all attacks. Just go hit (kill) the channeling Gan'arg and continue killing the Mo'arg. Once the three (3) Mo'arg are killed the Shivan Assassin will be released. (Sidenote: I found out that its actually timed event, but if you havent killed the Mo'arg before the Shivan Assassin spawns, you may be screw'd)

Fighting the Shivan Assassin: When Shivan Assassin gets released, there usually are still few Gan'arg left alive. Use Consume Essence on to kill them (you gain health from them). On first tries it's recommended to use the ultimate ability, Dive-Bomb, at this point. This will get rid of the extra adds and reduce the health of the Shivan Assasin significantly. Once the ultimate ends, start stun locking the Shivan. Super Jump, Punishing Blow, get distance, Throw Axe, Punishing Blow, get distance and repeat. Easy kill. Once again, when Shivan reaches 1% health, your "soul" is transferred to her and you gain control of her.

    Phase 3: The Shivan Assassin

This Quad-wielding six handed shebitch is the hardest to master. Despite the fact that she does have 4 Talon of Azsharas and two spare hands to gouge the opponent's eyes out, her melee abilities are limited to auto attack which deal as much damage as resto druid's melee attacks. Despite the miss directing name, she is a very powerful caster. She has 3 different forms (Aspects) with individual abilities and an Ultimate that deals damage that is modified greatly by the number of debuffs she can cast to the opponent.

    Abilities:
    Aspect of the Shadow:

Death Blast (2.5 sec cast, no cd)
Shadow damage(?) spell that deals over 10k damage. If target is affected with Siphon Life, it will be consumed and you demon will heal for the damage dealt.
    Siphon Life (30 sec cd)
Debuff that drains around 2600 health per tick from the target. 60 second duration.
    Shadow Nova (8 sec cd)
About 10-15 yd area spell that deals few thousand damage and leaves debuff to target that heals you 2.5k per tick.

    Aspect of the Flame:

Pyroblast (2.5 sec cast, no cd)
    Deals 18-20k fire damage.
    Flame Buffet (10 sec cd)
Deals 5k damage and leaves a debuff that increases fire damage taken by 5000. Stacks up to 10. Duration 60 seconds. Range is shorter than Pyroblasts'.
    Cleansing Flame (8 sec cd)
Cleanses all debuffs from your demon.
    Passive Ability: 30% increased speed.

    Aspect of the Ice:

Iceblast (2.5 sec cast, no cd)
Deals 10k frost damage to target, double if target is frozen.
    Icy Leap (12 sec cd)
Freezes target(s) around you in place (similiar to Frost Nova) and your demon jumps backwards for 10-15 yd.
    Ice Block (30 sec cd)
Ice Blocks for 4 seconds. During this time your demon is immune to melee attacks and reflects spells.

Ultimate: Chaos Strike (15 sec cd, consumes 2 Crystal Focus when used.)
Usable in all forms. Deals very high damage. Damage is tripled if target is frozen. Damage is increased if target is afflicted by Flame Buffet. Temporary weakens the target if hes afflicted with Siphon Life. Your demon gains damage buff for 30 after using Chaos Strike.

Once you have gained control of the Shivan, you have some time to inspect your abilities. Bear in mind that every time you shift into another Aspect there will be 30 second cooldown for that Aspect. Shartuul himself will be roleplaying a bit untill the first sub-boss spawns. There will be no additional trash spawns at this point so you can put all your focus on the bosses.

Dealing with Eye of Shartuul: Start in shadow form, apply Siphon Life. Switch to fire form, apply Flame Buffet. Start kiting and shooting him with Pyroblasts. Apply new Flame Buffets when its not on cooldown. Try to avoid the distruption ray thingys he shoots on the ground. Switch back to shadow form before the 1 minute duration of the Siphon Life ends. Cast Death Blast and wait until you see it hit. Reapply Siphon Life and switch back to fire form. If you let him get too close he will apply a debuff to you which you can just remove in fire form by using Cleansing Flame.

Occasionally he will start casting Dark Glare. You will get announcement from this to the middle of your screen. At this point stop whatever you are doing and switch into ice form. Ice Block and you reflect the Dark Glare, dealing high damage to the Eye and preventing if from doing damage to you for some time. Switch back to shadow form and repeat.

Dealing with Dreadmaw: Deals heavy melee damage, but moves very slow. So keep distance, apply Siphon, kite and nuke in fire form and once every minute switch back to shadow form and use Death Blast to gain health and reapply Siphon. Repeat.

Dreadmaw will occasionally charge you and apply a snare on you, which you must cleanse in fire form with Cleansing Flame.

    Dealing with Shartuul:

In this encounter its important to find a good rotation and cleanse debuffs fast. If you dont have any Charged Crystal Focus it will take time to burn down the 6 million health he has. Keep in mind that there are several possible ways to down him, this is just how I do it.

First the whole area will be filled with Eye Tentacles (C'thun much?), and Shartuul himself will walk into the "ring". Start of in shadow form as usual, use Shadow Nova to clear some teNakles away. Havent really figured out what the **** are the Eye Tentacles there for besides occasionally dazing you and keeping outsiders away (Got 7.5k mind flay tick while I flew by).
Apply Siphon Life and switch to fire form and start nuking and applying debuffs stack. Remember to constantly keep an eye out for your debuffs. He casts 2 kinds of debuffs to you:

Shadow Resonance: Increases Shadow damage taken by 10000. He nukes you constantly with Shadow bolts so you're getting ****load of damage to your face if you don't cleanse this.
Immolate: 1% of your health per tick. Hurts.

You have to cleanse these two debuffs constantly.

Allways cleanse your debuffs with Cleansing Flame. It seems like he casts first Immolation to you and after 10-20 seconds the Shadow Resonance. I always cleanse the Immolation, keep nuking until he casts Shadow Resonance, cleanse it and switch to shadow form. Death Blast, reapply Siphon Life, Shadow Nova some tentacles for extra room and back to fire form.

Repeat the normal nuking cycle until you have 10 Flame Buffets stacked. If you dont have any Crystal Focus you can just keep that rotation up forever because you dont really loose any hp there if you just cleanse yourself constantly and Death Blast those Siphons.

If you do have Crystal Focuses, wait for him to use his debuff abilities, cleanse those and switch to ice form. If at this point he happends to start casting Incinerate (he's most powerfull damage spell), Ice Block and reflect it back to him. If not, go next to him, cast Icy Leap and use your ultimate, Chaos Strike. Because he is afflicted with Siphon Life, 10xFlame Buffet and hes frozen. He will take shitload of damage from the Chaos Strike itself, and become vulnerable.

Switch to shadow form, Death Blast (at this point it will deal such massive damage that you could get your demons health from 1% to 100%). Reapply Siphon Life, go to fire form, first cast Flame Buffet (so that it wont accidentally run out). And just start nuking with Pyroblast. You may have to do the Chaos Strike thingy twice to burn him down but anyways it should go down pretty easily.

I did not mention earlier, but he does have one more ability, Magnetic Pull. He pulls you near and then self blinks away. Using the tactic I described, you don't even have to worry about it.

And thats about it. Go kill.
(If you get stuck to combat after the event ends, you must kill the remaining Eye Tentacles. They won't do Mind Flay at this point, but hit like 300 melee hits to cloth)
