Jewelcrafting - Make a little extra gold

You can make a little extra gold from Alicite's and possible other green uncut gems too.

On my server Alicite sell for 6-8g each almost every day, that means if you buy them, cut them then you can vendor them for 9g each for little extra gold (just bought 12 stacks of Alicites myself, cut them and vendored them = 300g of profit!).

It's not much but if you are always looking for a way to make the most gold then there is another

what is the approximate profit for 40g stacks if you are talking about vendoring green cut gems? unless you are referring to crafting greens and DE'ing.

Say you get 6-8 greens from that, if you cut them they are 9g when vendored. So 54g to 72g. (profit of 14g to 32g)

http://www.mmowned.com/forums/world-...ml#post2030974 -- Although it's only in regards to Zephyrite, I thought it sounded like a similar idea.

Yea it's the same thing really but on my server it's only Alicites going for so low. Zephyrites are needed for JC daily so they are constantly 20g+ on my server and during a daily day they can go upto 60-70g each.

Try the weekends, particularly on Saturday -- or any days following the elemental or perfume daily. Usually after such days I see gems drop quite a bit in price. While most gems are listed around 10g during the weekdays but sometimes you catch a few stacks of Zephyrite and Nightstone's for much lower then cut npc prices. It's about luck really but still a pretty decent way to afk and make a little bit of extra gold.

I would recommend considering using a spreadsheet like this one to help with the shuffling calculations. A lot of gold to be made with it.

Just tested it, not worth. You will rarely get more than 1 gem from prospecting elementium ore. Sadly i lost some money doing this lol

Banzor you cant do it with only one stack at a time you have to do atleast 10 stack for it to pay back b/c or RNG and BTWs great way to make some gold about a 30% return =) THX

I do this with Obsidium Ore daily. I've got a few people that sell me Obsidium Ore for 40g per stack. I get roughly 250 stacks per day. I prospect then cut all the gems and vendor. It is time consuming but really no work at all and most of it can be done while afking off/on. I use panda addon to help with prospecting. I've been thinking of getting a vendor add on but it isn't too bad without it. I make good gold and like I said it is really easy. On a slow day I will stalk the AH and buy up any stacks below 40g. Sometimes I can get an extra 100+ stacks from AH.
