Battered Hilt solo farm.

Doing this as a deathknight now and its very easy.
Just Deathgrip the elite and cast Icy Touch and Plague strike on him, then cast Strangulate then Pestilence, now he is screwed for a while use Deathchill Howling blast and Blood Boil on the mobs, Rune Tap and Empower Rune Weapon if needed.
Now run out as fast as u can then come back and loot. By the time u have rested and looted ur cooldowns are ready and u can go again. Just rinse and repeat till all groups are dead the reset and go again.
Still no hilt but lots of greens a few blues and 2 purples so far.

Aye got one this morning again. First one since wednesday so drop rate is very low now. posting your SS in first post so we don't have to see "can anyone confirm this still works?" posts in every page after this.

Back to farming I go I guess. But guys if it drops for you, please post more screenshots as well.
What I have done is made a macro "/s Battered Hilt Trash skeleton farming confirmed 13/12/2009" and will press the macro when it drops and screenshot it so you know it was taken today as well.

I wonder if being grouped or ungrouped has any effect. (I have always wondered that)

Like say for example RNG is = to 2% when ungrouped. Then for every extra person in your group that % is increased by 0.2% or something. I know it is unlikely but would love to know.

EDIT: /give up on farming this it takes way to long, been doing it for 10 1/2 hours and no battered hilt. Instead go farm titanium for 10 hours and buy one from the auction house.

i can give u a warlock "guide" on how to solo it - spec demonology, send vw on elite, go demon form and use immolation aura/rain of fire to kill adds, then loot them and run out, while ur pet dies.

8 Resets and so far 2 16 slots bags full of greens/Frostweave Cloth's, 2x Epic Dagger and 2x Epic Fist wep. Still praying for the hilt , I was so dumb selling the one I found on my other alt and I dmn need it now.

Edit: 5 mins after I wrote this I found the epic bracers. But no sign of the hilt yet.
I will be doing this all day and the day tomorrow, I will post a screenshot as soon as the hilt drops, wont give up till it drops.

I think he meant 10 and half hours. haha
I've farmed for 3 or 4 hours so far. No luck yet, but Ive seen the epic fist weapon drop once. And lots of greens, greys and frost weave.
