This guide is about how you should write your application to a guild and have sucess. I have joined most of the guilds i have been in simply because i know how to write a good application.
For starters, if you are wondering where you can find a guild to apply to, there are 2 ways. Either you go to the wow forums, click on realm forums and select the realm you are playing on. Then look for threads that says something in style with: "[GUILDNAME] recruiting for progress in 25 raids!" or "[GUILDNAME] recruiting for PvP premades and arena teams!". Well, you get the idéa. From there they use to have links to their forum where you usually can make an application. The other option is to look in the trade chanel ingame and get the guild forum from there.
The application
Now this is the important part of the guide, so make sure you put as much effort in it as possible. The officers or leaders of the guild do NOT want to see a quick 5 minute write down like for example:
Name: wowkid
Class: warlok ftw!1!!
Talents: i like my spec and will not go for a raid one!
Previous guilds and experiences: done a raid
RL info: nvm
...
...
...
This kind of aplication will not get you accepted to the guild. Sorry to say, but you have to put some effort to it. Think about allways writing with the best grammar possible and give alot of information about your character.
Allways be cooperative and say that you will happily respec to whatever your class leader wants you to. Make sure you also give abit of RL information they can relate to and accept. What's also a good thing to do is to write what hours a day you can be online and what days of the week. This do not have to be exact since everyone has a RL to take care of aswell.
But the mainpoint is that most guilds want an active player that attends to events and has a good temper, and also a big bit of patience.
This is about it and i wish you the best of luck getting acepted to whatever guild you are aiming to join.
