Hi guys
I recently installed the new BETA OS Windows Seven (Build 7000). It's the 32-bit version.
What I'm about to do is explain how to play this game on your Windows 7 OS and what the (dis)advantages
are.
So here goes!
1. Starting the game.
To start the game you have to open your 'Start Menu' and press 'Games'.
If World Of Warcraft is intalled, it will automaticly be added to this window.
Windows 7 will also automaticly download the games' cover art.
The game will start pretty soon. You won't lose ant FPS if you have quite a recent computer.
Although logging-in can take a while longer then normal. (I blame my beta drivers for that).
2. New Features.
Windows 7 has some new features up their sleeve. The foremost one is 'DirectX 11'.
Yup, DirectX 11. I've included a screenshot for those non-believers:
you can also clearly see my OS (Windows 7 build 7000)
3. Graphical errors?
Nope! No graphical errors as far as I can see. I've been using beta drivers for my
videocard and I installed the vista drivers. Both gave the same result. Although it seems the AA (Anti-Alias)
in directX 11 lacks a bit.
Forthermore I've made a screenshot using windows seven's new "Snipping Tool" which alows me to quickly
make and adjust a desktop screenshot.
I've also made a screenie of my video settings in Worlf Ow Warcraft to demonstrate the result of maximum
graphics.
The screenshot was taken in Zangarmarsh. Why? Because my toon was parked there
I'll update this thread as soon as something else pops up in my mind.
PS: I had to resize some images, not everyone has a 22" widescreen monitor.
