can't believe carto3 is crap. thx for helpin anywayz

A NON RAPIDSHARE LINK! FINALLY! HOORAY!tehepic:yourock2:
+Rep for you![]()
cool, thanks gonna try
np,hope the "real" 3.0.2 guide is nice when it comes
Grin : download Xeno's guide , put the cartographer folder in his pack on ur addons folder , then add both folders that matser posted into the addons folder .
Make sure all of them are loaded (click the load out of date crap) and it should work just fine .
Good luck
ziggar like i said. i did all of that and managed to get it working. the only problem is that zygor keeps clearing waypoints on cartographer instead of placing its own waypoints and arrow to lead me thru the levelin steps
how did you know that zygor was gona use tomtom on his next release? does it say on its site. cause i can't find anything about how his addon would work with another.
I think Xeno bought the horde guide , so he got that info from Zygor himself thru email or something .
About it clearing , that is odd i been using the alliance one for the low lvls and been working fine
he knows it probly cuz he has a registrated e-mail on zygor's site, and zygor sends all of them e-mails of upcoming releases, updated and stuff
Correct. I have the alliance and horde in game leveling guides from zygor now. Bought them legit so I get free updates forever. I'm just kind enough to share them with you guys cause I believe in the Free Share Agreement =P
I posted this on my thread for the horde guide. But I'll post it here as well. Zygor's Offical statement.
Hello,
I just wanted to update you on what's going on with the 3.0.2 update.
First of all, thank you for being so patient with us, I know it's frustrating.
But we have some good news and some bad news. First, the bad news.
We have come to the conclusion that Cartographer 2.0 is no longer going to be updated by the author in a timely manner, if at all. The project has evidentally been abandoned, in favor of the more experimental Cartographer 3.0.
So this leaves us in between a rock and a hard place, if you will. We can no longer rely solely on Cartographer's functionality for our products, which is in part a good thing. We were forced to come up with a way to provide the same great funtionality to you, but with a different approach.
This leads me into the good news.
We have found that we may be able to completely clone the functionality that the guides offer now by using TomTom with the guides, instead of Cartographer. TomTom is a waypoint addon that allows coordinates to be shown on your map, as well as the arrow that points you toward each guide step location.
So with TomTom providing that function, we will be able to offer support for ANY map addon you may choose to use to unveil your game map to see everything. Some people like Cartographer 3.0, some like MetaMap, etc.
You will be able to use any map addon you'd like, instead of being locked into using Cartographer.
So you will get the same great guide, with a little flexibility added in, also.
We are currently stripping the current guides of their dependency to Cartographer.
Once that is done, we will begin adding TomTom support. Once that is finished, we will release a test version of the guides and see how everyone's setups react to the new guide.
We aim to have this ready for you within 2 days.
From there, we will continue to fine tune the guides, fixing errors and adding support for the more robust map addons, such as Cartographer 3.0 and MetaMap.
Once again, I know this is a frustrating time, but by taking time to fix everything correctly and free the guides of major addon dependencies, we are preventing anything like this from happening again in the future. So, we are working hard to fix everything for good, not just temporarily. We feel that having a little extra downtime right now, to prevent long periods of downtime in the future, is the best thing to do in this situation.
Our goal is to provide the best quality products with the most flexibility and ease of use for you, the customer. We thank you for your patience and we look forward to getting you back in-game very soon!
Take care.
John Cook
