[Guide] Rogue dueling guide PROPER.

I saw the other dueling guide wich was pretty shitty. I'll make my own here so you will get advices from a 2200 rated rogue instead of a 1400 rated one.

Speecs
The two most used speccs in dueling/arena is ShS and Mutilate

Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft : This is the most used and in my opinion best ShS specc. Vile poisons is superb for arena.

I wont cover the Mutilate specc since it's not that effective and not heavily used.

Enchants

Helm: Cenarion revered enchant.
Shoulders: Aldor/Scryer enchant
Cloak: + 12 agility
Armor: 15+ Resilience
Bracers: 24 AP
Gloves: 15 agility (since this scales with BoK and also gives some extra crit wich is needed)
Pants: Nethercobra leg armor
Boots: Surefooted.
Ring: 4+ stats if your ShS. 2+ weapon dmg if your mutilate.

Fights

Rogue v Rogue.
This is the hardest of em all. If your opponent is human or nightelf they probably will get the opener because of their racials. If you get the opener your should go for premed > Cheap shot > Kindey shot > then build up some combopoints and rupture before kidneyshot expires. After that you vanish and start all over again.

In this duel it's 90% chanse to win of you get the opener. If the opponents get opener on you, you should trinket their kidneyshot and vanish as quick as possible starting up on them. They will probably be under press now and if your lucky they will use trinket on your kidneyshot.

Rogue v Warlock
In this fight i always do the same whatever their specc is. I open up with premed and cheapshot. This is where you should nuke shit out of them. Then kidneyshot them. In the most cases they will trinket here so you should clos when you see them trinket and fight for like 2-3 seconds then vanish. Repeat the following and i'f they have felhunter out you could alternative blind em and kill it. In this duel you should try to interrup ALL of their fears. If they get away a fear on you, dont trinket right away because they will probably load up another fear on you directly. This is a win/win fight and you shouldent have any problems with it.

Rogue v Mage
This could be a hard duel. If the mage is very skilled there is almost no chanse for you to win. Open up with Cheap Shot on the mage, if he is a noob he will blink here. Otherwise he will trinket. If he blink just shadowstep after him and do a kidney on him. In 90% of the cases he will iceblock here. That's when you should vanish and start all over on him again. This time he will nova you and try to run away. Use trinket on the nova and sprint after him making some serious dmg. When pops his waterelemental use Clos and kill it fast. At this time he should be around 40-30% on hp so just blind him and bandage and finish him off.

Rogue v Warrior
IF your skilled and fast enough open up with Garotte > Hemo > Rupture > Vanish. In this case you need to gain as much distance from him as you can because now he will be spamming his shouts wich could get him out of stealth. Now just watch him bleed away some of his hp and open up with Cheap Shot and then kidneyshot. If he trinkets kidney shot just blind him and start all over again. When he gets out of the stun use Evasion and Ghostly Strike and finish him off with some burst dmg. Fairly easy fight.

Rogue v Paladin
Not much to say about this fight. It's pice of cake. Though always open with Cheap Shot > Kidney Shot > CloS. Because after the kidneyshot the paladin ALWAYS use his hammer of justice so it will get resisted. Just dmg his with bleeds or SnD. Kick most of his heals and bandage whenever you can.

Rogue v Hunter
Easiest off all fights. Never ever ever ever lost against a hunter in duel. He will probably make a freezetrap and a flare upon it. the trick here is to drag your disarm trap ability to your actionbar, This buggs the spell and you will be able to disarm the trap from 12 yards instead of 5 yards. Then just use shadowstep and open on him quickly. If he is MM he will scattershot you and trap. Use trinket on the trap and continue to murder him. If he is BM use clos and vanish as soon as he use The noob within. then finish him off.

Rogue v Shaman
Restro shamans is the hardest of em all. Tactic here is to kill all his totems and outlast him so he get's manadrained and then putting pressure on him in the end of the fight.

Elemental often a win for them. Try to clos his instant/crit spell and keep him stunlocked as much as possible

Enhancement is a dps race. Stun stun and stun. Use clos, evasion and ghostly strike to win this fight. The player wich does most dmg in 10 sec wins.

Dont got that much information on theese fight's since we dont got much shamans here on my server on allyside.

Rogue v Druid.
It's a hard fight. If he is in catform go cheapshot to 5 combo. Expose armor. 2-3 combopoints and kidney shot. Nuke him as hell under this stage and he will be forced to stay in casterform almost all the time since he is behind in healing. Easy win.

If he is good and not retarded he will start in bearform wich is alot harder. I usualy open up with garrote and rupture. Blowing my evasion and ghostly strike so i dodge most of his Lancarate and Bash if i'm lucky. Blind when he goes out in humanform. Bandage up and start on him. Stick to him as glue. And force him to not go into bearform.

Rogue v Priest
This is in my oppinion the hardest fight of em all. If the priest got reflective shields it's very very hard to win vs them. Stun em as much as possible and use SnD and Expose armor. Dont trinket the first fear but wait for the later fears when they are low at hp. When he use his shadowfeind use vanish so he dont get mana-feeded. Evasion does no good vs it beacause it's attacks cant me dodges. Use blind/clos as much as possible for bandage.

Your logic doesent make sense. Theres different specs for each class, and you saying hunters are easy is pathefic, if their BM it can be amazingly hard. Everything else in this "guide" is comon sense, and something my sister in greens would know off.
Also, druids... not every druid is feral you know, far from, and he would never drop that much in catform if he had proper gear anyways.
This guide is bad, sorry, its made of common sense from what seems to be a bad geared PoV.

I play a hunter and a rogue, if your up against BM, you turn 180 degrees, press sprint and ****ing run CLoS and vanish the BM, then the hunter is easily killed off.

assassination is the most skill based rogue spec by far. burst, under pressure where everyone has Mad resilience. and only a single handful of cooldowns.

l2play combat mutilate. then re-think making a rogue dueling guide.
